Chapter 307
Submitting To My Billionaire Ex-Wife
Chapter 307
It didnât take long before Lucas came back.
He patted Genevieve on the shoulder from behind and motioned for her to follow him out.
Genevieve vaguely sensed something.
She stood up with a smile and asked the girl next to her to replace her.
She followed Lucas out and went directly to the next room.
The room was empty.
Lucas pressed a button, and the wallpaper slowly rose.
A large glass window came into view.
Lucas said lightly, âShe has been sitting here for half an hour. The person she is waiting for will arrive soon.â
Genevieve was surprised by the glass window. It was made of special materials, like those used in police.
observation rooms.
The people in the other room were visible from here, but they could not see the observers or feel their gazes.
Through the glass, she saw the people in the private room next door.
It was Susan who had returned home.
Genevieve was slightly shocked and her eyelids twitched.
âDidnât sheâ¦â
Hadnât she gone home already?
Subconsciously, she took out her cell phone and called Jasper.
âMs. Lawrence?â

âHas Susan returned?â
Jasper paused and said, âYes. Our people sent her to the plane.â
Genevieve felt a chill down her spine.
âShe didnât leavelâ
She hung up the phone and felt she was lost in a mist.
The truth was right in front of her, and she was about to know what it was.
Susan was pacing in the private room nervously, her face gloomy.
Shortly after, someone pushed the door open and walked in.
Genevieve grew very nervous.
When she saw the man clearly, her expression suddenly changed.
It was Simon from the product department?
Simon entered and displayed a bag to Susan.
âThis is the money you want. The deal has been completed. Donât contact me again!â
Susan couldnât wait to look at the contents of her bag.
After confirming that it was cash, she breathed a sigh of relief,
She said, âIâm still scared. What if someone finds out?â
âWhatâs there to be afraid of? Why werenât you scared when you replaced the perfume? Take the money and go back home as soon as possible, pretending that nothing has happened. No one will know!â
Simon looked at Susan with disdain in his eyes.
âYou have a deep affection for Mr. Lawrence. I would never expect that you would be the first one to betray him after his accident.

âThat fool failed because of a woman. Women canât be trusted!â
Susanâs face turned ashen.
âDonât talk about him!â
âYou betrayed him. But I am not allowed to mention it. Everyone knows that you like Jeffrey, but he doesnât like you. Jeffrey is not blind. He likes Riley, right?
âHe has a good taste. He travels abroad more than ten times every year just to see Riley. You are no match for
Riley!â
Simon shook his head and looked at Susan with a sneer.
Susanâs face turned pale.
She bit her lower lip and said, âMr. Boone, I am jealous of Riley. Donât you envy her?
âEveryone knows that Mr. Lawrence is going to appoint Riley as the CEO of our companyâs overseas branch. And you are anxious about it. Otherwise, you wouldnât have tampered with the perfume.â
Simonâs face froze slightly. He narrowed his eyes and looked at Susan with threatening eyes.
âSusan, youâd better forget about it, or you will be in trouble!â
Susan took a deep breath and said through gritted teeth, âYou think I donât know who you work for? You betrayed our company, and you will pay for it sooner or laterâ¦â
Genevieve listened to their conversation and observed their expressions.
She couldnât tell how she was feeling.
Simon bribed Susan to replace the perfume!
Susan was Jeffreyâs trusted assistant. How dared she?
Genevieve felt disappointed and somewhat sad.
Che turned around and walked out.

Lucas frowned and followed her out.
Susan got angry and decided to take the money and leave.
When she opened the door, she saw Genevieve.
Genevieve looked as cold and noble as ever, her pretty face filled with anger.
Susanâs face turned completely pale, and the bag in her hand fell to the ground. Her eyes widened with shock, and her lips went pale, too.
âMs. Lawrenceâ¦â
Genevieve looked at her coldly.
âSusan, are you going to come clean yourself, or shall I make you do so?â
Susanâs lips moved, and her eyes were full of panic.
As she remained quiet, Genevieve chuckled and glanced at Simon, who was also ashen and flustered. Her voice was extremely indifferent.
âI have a bad temper. My approach differs from my brotherâs. I prefer to act quickly and decisively, Susan.â
Susan trembled with a pale face as if she would faint any minute.
âMs. Lawrence, Iâ¦â
Genevieve pursed her lips and took out her phone.
âJasper, bring them up.â
Then she looked at Lucas next to her and smiled.
âCan I lock the door for a while?â
Lucas nodded, âOf course.â
âThank you,â Genevieve smiled and then pulled Susan by the collar into the next room.

When Susan saw the wall, though which one could see everything in the opposite private room, her expression changed.
âYou heard everything?â she asked.
Genevieve slammed the door shut.
Susan shivered.
Genevieveâs face turned cold. She stared at Susan indifferently as she approached her.
âSusan, I know you like my brother, but your betrayal of him is really unexpected!
âYou replaced the perfume. Why did you do that?â
Susan shook her head with tears welling up in her eyes.
âIt wasnât me. I swear, Ms. Lawrence. I am loyal to Mr. Lawrence. I have serious feelings for himâ¦â
When Genevieve knew that Susan liked Jeffrey, she only felt pity for Susan.
She sympathized with Susanâs past experiences.
Therefore, Jeffrey never let anyone mention Susanâs private affairs.
He was very tolerant of the employees around him.
He never deprived anyone of their chance simply because they were women.
Susan sensed Genevieveâs determination to teach her a lesson and wanted to run out.
As soon as she touched the doorknob, Genevieve violently pushed her from behind.
Susan bumped into the wall and Genevieve slammed her head hard against it.
Susan screamed and looked in pain.
âHelpâ¦

Genevieve gritted her teeth, grabbed Susanâs hair, and slammed her head against the wall once more.
Susanâs forehead was bleeding.
She finally began to panic
She was about to struggle when she heard Genevieveâs cold voice.
âYour daughter is at home, right? You donât want her to have any accidents, do you?â
Susan trembled fiercely. She looked back at Genevieve in disbelief, tears welling up

eyes.
Genevieve let go of Susan and clapped her own hands slowly and coldly.
âFrom the moment you betrayed me, you should know that there will be a price.
âDidnât you consider the consequences for your daughter?â
Susan stood up abruptly, tears streaming down her cheeks.
She bellowed, âHow can you threaten me with a child? She is innocent. What did she do wrong?â
