(Eden’s Pov),

“What exactly do you want us to talk about?” Lord Shevek frowned.

“My mother.” I quipped.

He looked away quickly. “Look, I don’t want to talk about it.”

“You will.” I narrowed my gaze on him.

I knew he wasn’t going to listen to me easily, but I was more determined.

“Leave Eden.” He growled.

“She wanted to leave. I couldn’t stop her. What exactly did you think I should have done? You know Rose. Once she makes up her mind, there is no talking her out of it.”

“Not with you. I’ve seen the way she listens to you. She loves you. I said softly. “That isn’t something you should easily give up on.”

I felt the tears prick my eyes. My chest tightened. I felt a great urge to cry, but I tried to hold it in as much as I could, but Eros sensed the pain in me and immediately wrapped his arms around me.

“I don’t know what’s happening.” I said

“It will be fine.” Eros comforted.

I shook my head. “I thought my parents would eventually come to love each other and have a shot at what they missed.”

“But there is no time.” I gasped. “What if Alpha Griffin does something to my mother and takes her away just like Olivia?”
