Chapter 1044
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Corinne raised her eyebrow calmly when she saw Aaron walking in. âWhatâs he doing here?â
Even though Francine was stunned by Aaronâs good looks, she did fall head over heels for him as her
heart already belonged to Chester, even if it was one-sided love at the moment.
Glaring at him, she asked rudely, âAnd just who are you? Didnât anyone teach you to knock before
coming in? Seriously, the nerve of you.â
Aaron smiled at Francine before turning to Corinne, saying coyly, âWell, I never had to knock before
going into her bedroom, so why do I need to start now?â
Hearing this, Francine grew alert. She looked at Aaron from head to toe before looking probingly at
Corinne. âWhat?! Are you her ex-boyfriend?â
Aaron said nothing. He simply smiled ambiguously instead.
Francine assumed she had guessed right. She put her hands on her hips. âI canât believe you, Corinne!
How can you take the opportunity to meet with your old flame while Jeremy is on his business trip? Do
you not love him anymore?â
Corinne gave Francine a side-eye before continuing to massage her temples tiredly. âIgnore him. I donât
have an ex-boyfriend. Even if I have, he certainly wonât be one.â
Francine was a little taken aback by Corinneâs response, but she was not all that convinced.
Aaron frowned unhappily. âBoss, do you have to put me down like that in front of others? Am I not
pretty enough for you?â
Corinne was used to Aaronâs vainness and silliness, so she did not think too much of it. Changing the
topic, she asked, âWhat are you doing here? You should be working at this hour.â
Aaron shrugged. He walked over and looked at the injury on her head with concern. âI couldnât focus on
work after I heard you got hurt, so I came to make sure youâre okay.âBooks Chapters Are Daily

âIâm fine, so you can go back to work now. You need to work on your work ethic, you know that?â
Corinne secretly glanced at Annie to observe her reaction while she was talking.
From the moment Aaron came in, Annieâs lovestruck eyes never left him. She quickly put away her
previous shrewish behavior and said demurely, âHow nice of you to visit Corinne, Mister Aaron. Sheâs
about to have her breakfast, so why donât you join her? Youâre about to be in for a real treat âcause
these are all my momâs signature dishes.â
Francine found it weird that Annie would suddenly speak so gently, so she quietly observed Annieâs
expression. She could instantly tell Annie had a major crush on Aaron.
âAh, so this is the type of guy she likes. Hehe! My Chester is so much better looking than him, though.â
Aaron smiled at Annie. âThatâs okay. I already ate with friends before I came.â
âOh⦠Alright, then,â said Annie disappointedly. âIf thatâs the case, why donât you stay for a bit to have a
chat?â
After saying that, Annie brought over a chair for Aaron to sit on.
âThank you,â said Aaron after sitting down unceremoniously before turning his attention back to
Corinne. âBoss, how are you feeling? Does your head hurt?â he asked worriedly.
In contrast to his attitude toward Corinne, it was obvious Aaron only treated Annie with the bare
minimum of politeness.
Corinne shook her head. âNo, it doesnât.â
âDid you get hurt anywhere else? Donât hide anything from me, okay?â
