Chapter 1046
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Aaron put his hand to his forehead and sighed helplessly.
âBut what youâre asking me to do is kinda impossible. Iâm quite the good catch, if you havenât noticed.
Annie wonât give up unless I hurt her feelings a bit.â
Corinne rolled her eyes. âThatâs why I warned you to stay away from girls like her! Theyâre the type to
fall hard and fast! Once they do, they wonât give up no matter what. What youâre doing is akin to
committing a grave sin.â
Aaron raised a corner of his lips. âFine, Iâll admit I shouldnât have done that. And I promise Iâll never do
it again.â
Corinne simply scoffed and said nothing more.
Aaron looked around the room and asked curiously, âBoss, whereâs Mister Jeremy? Why isnât he here
with you?â
Corinne looked out of the window at the blue sky. âHe went on an overseas business trip.â
âHe did what?! How can he still have the mind to work when youâre lying here in the hospital? Does he
even care about you?â
Corinne simply frowned and said nothing.

Meanwhile, in the restroom.
Annie splashed some cold water on her face. She then raised her head to look at her dripping-wet
sorry reflection in the mirror.
Her previous relationship ended in total failure, having nearly married a dirtbag. She could not believe
she would fall for another womanizer again.
âIs it me? Am I a magnet for dirtbags? Oh, stupid, stupid Annie! Why canât I just be chill in love?â she
mentally berated herself.
Suddenly, Francine, with her arms crossed, appeared in the mirror. She lifted her chin and said
arrogantly, âI guess youâre not as great as you think you are. If not, you wouldnât have fallen for such a
silly playboy.â
This pulled Annie out of her thoughts. She rolled her eyes at Francine. âAnd Iâm guessing you think you
are? Well, how come I never see you with any high-value guy?â
Francine scoffed. âIâll have you know the guy Iâm chasing right now is a very high-value guy. In fact, I
donât mind bringing him to meet you once weâre an item.â
Annie chuckled coldly. âAs if a high-value guy will ever fall for a shallow girl like you.â
âWhy youâ¦â Francine put her hands on her hips angrily. Even though she knew she was unworthy of a
match to Chester, it still did not feel good to hear it coming from Annie.
âReally, Annie. You wonât even know what kindness looks like even if it bites you right in the face. Iâm
just trying to warn you that guy seems like trouble, so how can you be so mean to me in return?â
Annie wiped her face dry with a napkin. âI might not be experienced in relationships, but I donât need a
little girl like you to tell me what to do.â
She then threw the napkin into the trash can and walked past Francine.
Not one to back down so easily, Francine turned around and chased after her. âWho are you calling a
little girl? How rude of you! Have you forgotten Iâm your aunt?!â
Annie simply ignored her and quickened her pace.
Francine, too, quickened her pace. âBy the way, whoâs that guy? Why does he call Corinne âbossâ?â
