Chapter 1150
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
âWâWhy is Xanteâs phone wâwâwith you?â
Corinne felt a headache coming on. âIâll repeat my question. When did that happen?â
Sunny did not know how to answer her. He was even more afraid of answering her when he
remembered Xanteâs warningâhe was not to breathe a word of what happened between them to
Corinne.
âOh, Lucas is telling me to do my homework! Talk to you later!â He ended the call swiftly.
Corinne took a deep breath after hearing the dial tone.
Having another problem on her hands was far from ideal. It was bad enough that Aaron got involved
with Jeremyâs niece. Even Xante hooked up with one of the Riveras.
âItâs one thing after anotherâ¦â Corinne lamented.
Early the next morning, Corinne brought Joey downstairs for breakfast as usual. Having taught the boy
to eat with a spoon the day before, he had since picked up the necessary ability and did not even need
to be fed at all.
While Corinne was eating some oats, Gregâwho never liked her very much and rarely showed any
concern for herâsaid, âDonât just eat oats. Have some eggs and sausages too. You need the protein!â
Corinne pursed her lips, smiled, and responded curtly and politely.
She was not touched by his words at all. On the contrary, she felt that every single show of concern
from the Holdens was for the developing fetus in her stomach!
After breakfast, Francine brought Joey to play while Corinne spoke with Pamela.
Greg went to his study after breakfast, leaving only Pamela inside the room.
Corinne knocked on the door and walked in only after getting Pamelaâs permission. Pamela had her
glasses on when Corinne came in, and she was busy knitting some baby clothes.Books Chapters Are

When Corinne came in, Pamela smiled warmly, âAh, you came at just the right time! What do you think
of this little dress that I made? Isnât it cute?â
Corinne reciprocated with a smile as well. âItâs adorable! But, you donât have to go to all that trouble.
We can just buy them next time.â
Pamela shook her head. âItâs no trouble at all! Iâm happy just thinking about your baby wearing the
clothes I made! Besides, the clothes I make myself are so much better than buying ready-made ones
from the store!â
Corinne smiled, but it was merely a polite smile. She did not feel anything in particular at all.
âIs there something you need from me, Corinne?â Pamela asked, putting down the half-knitted baby
clothes.
Corinne nodded. âYou said yesterday that youâll bring me out to clear my mind. Does that offer still
stand?â
âIt most certainly does!â Pamela said. âIs there any place in particular that youâd like to go to, Corinne?â
Corinne sighed and said, âIâm bored at home, so Iâd like to go out for a walk. How about we feed the
pigeons at the public park? Will that be alright?â
Pamela took Corinneâs hand and said, âOf course! You donât have to ask me for permission. You just
need to tell me where you want to go!â
Corinne smiled wryly. âIf thatâs truly the case, there wonât be so many bodyguards guarding me at the
door.â
âUmm, wellâ¦â Pamela hesitated.
Corinne finally said, âWell, itâs set then, Grandma. Letâs go for that walk tomorrow morning then. I just
checked the weather forecast, and itâs the perfect weather for a walk tomorrow!â
