Chapter 1156
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
The bodyguards watched helplessly as Aaronâs minivan drove away, and they started to panic.
âWhat should we do now? How are we going to tell Mister Jeremy that weâve lost Miss Corinne?â
âSh*t! Heâs definitely going to punish us for that!â
âWeâre done forâ¦â
âThatâs enough!â shouted the lead bodyguard through gritted teeth. âInstead of sh*tting your pants over
here, you all should be tailing Mister Aaron. He definitely has something to do with Miss Corinneâs
escape. It canât be a coincidence for them to be here. We might be able to find Miss Corinne if we
follow them!â
âYes, Sir!â

Meanwhile, on the other side of the park, where there were no surveillance cameras along the street
devoid of people, was a parked white Bugatti.
Corinne half-jogged over to the car, got into it, and took off her wig. She had changed into the clothes
left by Xante in one of the public restrooms to escape notice from the bodyguards.
âYou look good in your disguise,â said Jason with a smirk.
Corinne was tired from the journey, so she was in no mood to joke around with him. âCut the chit-chat
and drive now.â
Jason smiled, started the car engine, and drove her away from the park. Not long after that, he turned
the car into a residential area.
Seeing this, Corinne frowned and said, âWhere are you taking me? I thought we were going to the
airport?â
âGoing to the airport now is as good as turning yourself in,â explained Jason. âThe moment Jeremy
knows youâve escaped, heâll arrange for his men to keep a close eye on you at every major airport and
train station. Heck, it wonât even surprise me if he puts some eyes over the highway too.âBooks

After thinking about it, Corinne found his explanation logical. However, she was not really convinced
Jeremy would go through all that effort to find her.
âSo where are you taking me, then?â
âHave you ever heard of the saying âhiding in plain sightâ? Thatâs exactly what weâre for a couple of
days, and when things die down, Iâll arrange for a private jet to fly you out.â
Corinne was a little taken aback, but she nodded after a while. âThanks, Jason. But is this really where
you live?â
She looked out at the average-looking buildings. No matter how she looked at them, they did not look
like somewhere a rich guy like Jason would live.
Jason smiled. âYeah, I live here. Why? You donât like it? I know itâs not as nice as Jeremyâs mansion,
but itâs still home.â
Corinne shook her head and leaned back lazily on her seat. âNo. Itâs not that. Iâve lived in places far
worse than this when I was little. Itâs just⦠This doesnât look like a place that a rich guy like you will live
in. I mean, guys with daddyâs money always live in a mansion or penthouse, donât they?â
Jason laughed. âWell, I used to live here when I was little. Itâs been a long time since I came here. I
donât think itâs wise for you to live in a flashy place when youâve just escaped from the Holdens, so
thatâs why I brought you here.â
âI see,â she said, even though she still found it weird that Jason would live in such a humble place
when he was little. âDoes that mean he didnât grow up rich?â she wondered. As curious as she was, she
thought it would be rude for her to pry into his personal life.
They stopped in front of a shabby-looking flat since there was no underground parking. Together, they
walked up to the second floor, and Jason took out a key to open the door.
âWelcome to my humble abode,â said Jason.
