Chapter 1159
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Francine shook her head helplessly. âI donât know eitherâ¦but it seems like Corinne planned her
escape.â
âEscape? Why would she want to run away? Did we mistreat her?â
âI think sheâs mad âcause Jeremy kept her under house arrestâ¦â
Greg frowned. âJust because of that? Who does she think she is? I forbid anyone to go look for her.
Letâs see how long she can survive on her own outside.â
Pamela, who was clutching her chest weakly, sat up a little straighter when she heard what Greg said.
âYou old fool! What the heck are you talking about? Donât you know Corinne doesnât need us? Sheâll
never come back if we donât look for her.â
Even though Greg looked a little worried, he stubbornly insisted on his standpoint. âHmph! She can
stay missing for all I care!â
Pamela was so worried that she could feel her heart thumping quickly and loudly. Tears started to flow
down her cheek. âHave you forgotten sheâs pregnant? What if something bad happens to her and the
baby?â she said with a sigh.
Greg could not bear to see Pamela so sad, so he waved his hand to âBring the old lady back to her
room, and arrange for more people to look for Corinne.â
âYes, Mister Greg,â said the servants.
Thus, Pamela was wheeled back to her room to rest.
Joey would not stop crying no matter what the maid did to distract him. Francine was worried his cries
would annoy Greg, so she asked the maid to bring him to her room.
Only then did the living room turn quiet.
Greg looked out of the window anxiously. It would be a lie if he said he was not worried about

âGrandpa, should we report this to the cops? We might be able to find Corinne faster with their help,â
suggested Francine.
Greg glanced at her. âWe can only report a person missing if theyâve been gone for at least seventy-two
hours, so itâll be pointless to go to the station now.â
Francine pouted. âThen what should we do? Jeremy must be worried sick about her now.â
Greg raised his eyebrow. âWhat? He knows about this already? Why did you tell him so fast? Doing this
will only make him fly back.â
Francine shook her head innocently. âI wasnât the one who told him. It was those bodyguards out there.
Theyâre working under him, so of course theyâd report Corinne missing the moment it happened.â
Gregâs frown became even deeper. He put his hand to his forehead and said, âFine. Go up to their
room now to see if thereâs any clue to where she might be going.â
âOkay, Grandpa,â said Francine with a nod. After that, she half-ran upstairs.
The coupleâs room was not locked, so Francine had no problem going inside. She looked around the
room carefully but found nothing suspicious. That was until she heard the sound of a phone ringing.
Following the sound, she found Corinneâs phone, and the caller ID showed it was Jeremy calling her.
âWhy wouldnât she bring her phone with her?â wondered Francine.
Without hesitation, Francine answered the call.
Jeremyâs anxious voice immediately came through. âWhere did you go?â
âJeremy, itâs me. Francine.â
After a pause, Jeremy asked, âHave you found her?â
âNo. Not yet,â said Francine regretfully. âBut donât worry. Iâm sureââ
