Chapter 1164
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
âFrancine, you should be sleeping. Why are you here making a ruckus in your brotherâs room?â came
Pamelaâs tired voice from the hallway.
She could not sleep out of worry for Corinne, so she got up to see what was going on when she heard
Francine shouting. A minute later, she pushed open the door.
âGrandma, Jeremy has brought a woman home. She claims sheâs a very good friend of his. I asked her
to go sleep in the guest room, but she insisted on sleeping here âcause she doesnât want the bad
energy in the guest room to affect her luck,â said Francine as soon as she saw Pamela. âDonât you
think sheâs doing this on purpose?â
Pamela looked to where Francine was pointing and was stunned by the woman standing there.
âHello, Grandma! Iâm Sophia,â she greeted Pamela warmly. âSorry if Iâve woken you up from your
sleep.â
Pamela nodded after she snapped out of her shock. âYouâre more than welcome to stay since youâre
already here, but not in this room. You can stay in Francineâs room, and she can go stay in the guest
room.â
âGreat! Thanks, Grandma,â said Sophia happily.
Francine was not happy about the arrangement at all. âGrandma, why did you say she can sleep in my
room? I wonât allow it!â
Pamela glared at her sternly. âIs this really the way to treat a guest?! Sheâs your brotherâs friend and
has come a long way from abroad. The least we could do is to make her stay comfortable. Now, go and
get your room ready for Miss Sophia!â
Francine did not understand why Pamela would take an outsiderâs side.
âBut Grandma, Joey is sleeping in my room right now. It took me a lot coax him to sleep, so you canât
possibly expect me to wake him up, right?â
âYou donât have to wake him up. Just quietly carry him to the guest room!â

âJust do as I say!â
As much as Francine was not happy with the outcome, she did not dare to defy Pamelaâs order. Thus,
she stomped once and left the room.
âJust who the heck is Sophia? Why does it seem like Grandma is pandering to her?â she wondered.
After she left, Sophia smiled helplessly at Pamela. âSorry for causing you trouble, Grandma.â
âOh, itâs no trouble at all. Itâs the least I can do after you helped our family so you go to Francineâs room
to rest? Just let the servants know if you need anything else.â
âWell, donât mind if I do,â said Sophia cheerfully before following Francine out of the room.
Pamela remained standing where she was. She looked meaningfully at Jeremy and Corinneâs bed
before leaving the room and closing the door with a gentle click.

Meanwhile, Corinne was tossing and turning in the unfamiliar bedroom. Unable to sleep, she decided
to play some games on the tablet. She was at the climax of the game when the doorbell suddenly rang.
âWho could it be?â she thought with alarm. âJason said no one has lived in this apartment for a long
time, so who would possibly come at this hour? I hope itâs not Jeremyâs men!â
She put down the tablet, got out of the bed quietly, and tiptoed to the main doorâs peephole. However,
the only thing she saw was an eye staring back at her, giving her a shock.
Then, before she could figure out what was happening, she heard Jasonâs cheeky voice coming from
the corridor. âDonât worry. You can open the door. Itâs me, Jason.â
