Chapter 1165
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Corinne sighed with relief. Frowning, she opened the door and said, âWhat are you doing here so late?â
Jason raised the takeout bag in his hand. âIâm guessing you canât sleep, so I bought you some supper.â
He then stepped inside and changed his shoes. His movements were so natural that Corinne found it
hard to believe he had not been back in this apartment for a while.
Corinne closed the door and crossed her arms. âJason, I know I was the one who asked for your help,
but you shouldnât take it upon yourself to do things I didnât ask.â
Jason ignored her and walked into the kitchen to get some plates out. âItâs cajun crawfish. Do you want
some?â
âOf course I want some,â said Corinne with a frown.
Jason laughed and beckoned with his finger at her. âWell, what are you waiting for? Come over here!
The cajun crawfish from this restaurant are delicious.â
Corinne walked over and saw Jason had already put the cajun crawfish on the plate. They looked and
smelled really good. However, she could not help but find it odd that someone like Jason would eat
cheap food like that.
Jason passed her a fork and spoon. âGo on, give it a try,â he prompted her with a smile.
Corinne reached out but did not take the fork and spoon from him. âWho eats crawfish with a fork and
spoon? Do you have disposable plastic gloves?â
Jason shoved the fork and spoon into her hand with a smile. He then pressed her shoulder down to

Corinne frowned. âIs he deaf or something? I told him I didnât want the fork and spoon but a pair of
disposable gloves! The restaurant shouldâve given out some disposable plastic gloves!â
She was internally complaining when she saw Jason putting on a pair of disposable plastic gloves. She
was about to say something when Jason started peeling the crawfish and putting the flesh on a little
plate for her.
Corinne was a little taken aback. âWhat⦠What is he doing? Not only did he bring me supper, but heâs
actually peeling the crawfish for me?â
âWhy arenât you eating?â asked Jason when he noticed Corinne staring dazedly at him.
Corinne snapped out of her trance. âYou donât have to do this. I can do it myself.â
Jason smiled. âI donât mind doing it. The only thing you have to do when Iâm around is eat.â
Corinne did not know what to say. She knew he was doing it out of kindness, but still, she felt very
conflicted about it.
She picked up her fork and started eating the peeled crawfish from the little plate while observing
Jasonâs skilled crawfish deshelling movement.
âMister Jason, did you train yourself to be so good at shelling crawfish to get girls?â she asked.
Jasonâs hands froze. He looked up at her and said, âWhy do you always think I have an ulterior motive
for doing something? I could just be a natural at this.â
Corinneâs lips twitched. âSince when did a rich kid like you need to shell their own seafood? Unless
youâre doing it to get girls, I donât see why youâd do it.â
Jason scoffed. âHeh! Youâre really underestimating me. I donât need to do this to get girls. In fact, I donât
need to do anything to have girls throwing themselves at me. Youâre the only girl in the world who
ignores me all the time.â
