Chapter 1168
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Jeremy drove to Aaronâs home, or more accurately, the home of Aaron, Xante, and Corinne. After
getting out of the elevator, he persistently rang the doorbell. When nobody came to the door, he started
to pound on the door angrily.
It was a good thing there was only one unit of apartment on each floor, or someone would have
complained about the noise. After a while, the door finally opened under Jeremyâs persistent pounding.
Aaron, dressed in his pajamas, scratched his head sleepily. âMister Jeremy, what are you doing here so
late?â
Jeremy was seething with anger. âWhereâs Corinne? Ask her to come out this instant!â
Aaron shrugged and spread his hand nonchalantly. âMister Jeremy, your men had already checked my
car and found nothing. I donât get why youâre asking me where Corinne is. I should be the one asking
you where she is.â
Jeremy ignored what he said, pushed him to the side, and strode impatiently into the living room.
âCorinne Carew, get your *ss out here this instant!â
Aaron followed him in with a frown. âMister Jeremy, do you know what youâre doing is called
âtrespassingâ? I can call the cops on you,â he said unhappily.
Jeremy ignored him again. He strode over to the room where he saw Corinne packing her bags last
time and knocked on the door. Not getting a response, he opened the door and walked in.
However, there was no one inside except for a fat white cat curled up lazily on the bed. It immediately
hissed and raised its hackles when it saw a stranger barging in.
Aaron walked into the room, picked up the cat, and started stroking its fur to calm it down. âThatâs
enough, Mister Jeremy! Sheâs really not here!âBooks Chapters Are Daily Updated Join & Stay Updated

Jeremyâs bloodshot eyes scanned every corner of the room, and they inevitably darkened when he saw
no signs of Corinne. âWhere are you hiding her this time?â
Aaron looked hurt. âIâve already told you. We have no idea where she is. Mister Jeremy, it seems like
this time Corinne is really determined to hide from you. Do you think sheâll come to a place where you
can find her? She even cut off contact with us just so you wonât be able to trace her. We tried calling
her today, but all of our calls went straight to voicemail!â
Jeremy balled his hands into fists. He was so angry he felt like his chest was about to explode. âD*mn
that little rascal! Looks like sheâs hellbent on hiding from me. Why canât she be like other wives?â
He understood it was normal for a spouse to get angry and pretend to run away from home, but they
would always choose a place where they could easily be found by their husbands. Corinne, however,
would escape to a parallel universe if she could just to get as far away from him as possible.
âMister Jeremy, instead of looking for her, maybe you should ask yourself why Corinne would want to
leave you. I suggest you stop looking for her if you did something to hurt her. From my understanding
of her, sheâll never forgive you even if you find her,â said Aaron roughly when he saw how dark
Jeremyâs expression was.
Jeremy frowned. âWhat are you talking about? What did I do to hurt her?â
Aaron scoffed. âHow should I know? Iâm just telling you that Corinne will never disappear for no good
reason.â
Jeremyâs eyes darkened. âDo you or do you not know where she is?â
Aaron put his hand up and said, âI swear I donât know. I wanted to ask her too, but she mustâve turned
off her phone. None of my calls went through.â
