Chapter 1213
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
It was not an employee who walked it. It was Sunny!
Sunnyâs reaction at seeing Corinne was even grander than hers. âMy god, Corinne, you look like a
blimp!â
Corinne was speechless. âGuess heâs still the same thoughtless boy six months ago.â
Sunny walked up to her to take a closer look. âBut you still look cute.â
Corinne raised an eyebrow. âDonât you have class today?â
Sunny shrugged and said haughtily, âI did go to class, but itâs lunch break now. I heard Xante is going
to pick you up today, so I came to see you.â
Corinne placed her cup on the table. She then looked at him with narrowed eyes. âDoes your family
know about you and Xante?â
Sunny scratched his head awkwardly. âUh⦠Lucas knows about it, but not the others. Itâs not that I
donât want to tell my parents, but Xante wouldnât let me. She said sheâs not ready to meet the parents
yet.â
Corinne looked at his immature face and instantly worried about leaving Xante with him. âWhat are you
going to do if your family doesnât approve of you two being together?â
Sunny crossed his legs and thought about it. âIâll keep persuading them until they accept her.â
âAnd what if after all the persuading they still donât approve?â
âWell, thatâs simple! Iâll just run away from home and move in with Xante. I donât mind taking up her
surname. Itâs not like she doesnât have the money to take care of me.âBooks Chapters Are Daily

Corinne laughed out of the absurdity of it all. âIs that all the backbone you have? Youâre already
planning to marry into her family when you guys arenât even seriously dating yet? Itâs obvious youâre
trying to take advantage of her.â
Sunny did not agree with her. âWhatâs wrong with marrying into her family? As long as itâs true love,
who cares about all that? Besides, I only said Iâd marry into her family and didnât say Iâd rely on her
forever. I, of course, have plans to make myself stronger so that I can protect and take care of her in
the future.â
Corinne pinched the bridge of her nose. âSunny, why donât you focus on getting into a good university
first? At your current situation, Iâm sure your brother would rather break both of your legs instead of
letting you marry into Xanteâs family.â
Sunny crossed his arms. âHeh! Donât think you can use my brother to scare me! Iâm afraid of him when
it comes to most things, but not this! I wonât change my mind about Xante, even if you tattle on me to
him. So what if he breaks both of my legs? Xante will take care of me until they heal!â
Sunny might think he was being all macho by saying all those, but to Corinne, he only sounded very
immature. Frankly, he sounded a little bit silly, too.
âHow sure are you that Iâll take care of you until your legs heal?â asked Xante, walking over. She had
just finished her call and happened to hear the end of their conversation.
Sunny immediately sat up properly and toned down his macho behavior when he saw Xante walking
over. However, he did not drop his arrogant attitude. âI know one hundred percent that youâll come to
save me because you canât bear to live without me.â
Normally, Xante would just ignore Sunny whenever he said something childish like that. However, her
boss was there, so she could not help but feel embarrassed.
She pinched the bridge of her nose and said, âThereâs still the risk of your legs never healing even with
all the best medical care. That means youâll become a cripple. Do you think Iâll care about you then?â
âYes!â answered Sunny without hesitation.
Xante scoffed. âYou think too highly of me. Iâll never sacrifice myself for someone else.â
Sunny frowned unhappily. âXante, I know you donât mean that and will take care of me if I really end up
as a cripple.â
