Chapter 1238
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Mister Aaron, please stop joking like this!â Annie was annoyed at Aaron for not taking things seriously.
Aaron stopped smiling and looked deeply into her eyes. âIâm not joking. Iâm being serious.â
Annie could hear her heart thumping very loudly. She did not believe him. In fact, she felt like he was
playing with her feelings. âEven if youâre serious, itâs too late âcause I already have a boyfriend.â
Aaron passed her his phone. âThat can be easily taken care of. You just need to call him and break up
with him.â
Annie was shocked. She shot up from the bed and growled, âIs this how you see a relationship? That
you can break up with someone just like that? You might not respect Marcus, but I do! Heâs very good
to me, so Iâm never going to break up with him.â
âDo you like him, though?â asked Aaron with a smirk.
Annieâs eyes flashed. âOf course I do! I mean, why would I agree to be with him if I donât?â
Aaron smiled. âNo. You donât like him.â
It was like Aaron had seen right through her. She frowned and said, âYou donât speak for me! Who do I
like, if not my own boyfriend?â
Aaron stood up and leaned down on her. âYouâ¦likeâ¦me.â
Annieâs eyes darted to the window anxiously. âI⦠I⦠Fine! Itâs true. Youâre the guy that I like! But whatâs
the point? You donât like me at all, so you canât expect me to keep pining for you, right? Whatâs so
wrong with wanting to move on with another guy who treats me well?â
âNo! You canât do that.â Aaron put both of his hands on the closet, effectively trapping Annie between
his arms so that she had no choice but to look at him.
âWhy not? Who are you to tell me what to do? I donât work for you anymore.â
Aaron leaned down closer to her. âBecause Iâve realized that I actually quite like you. Why would you
be with another man when we can be together?â
Annie was stunned. She thought she had heard wrong. âDid he just say he likes me? Is thisâ¦a
confession? No, Annie! Wake up! Heâs a serial flirter, remember? Heâll hump anything that moves!â
With that thought in mind, Annie looked boldly into his eyes and said, âMister Aaron, Iâm afraid I canât
agree to be your girlfriend. Thereâs no guarantee you wonât cheat on me.â
Aaron smiled, half-closed his eyes, and whispered into her ear seductively, âYou should know youâre
the first girl Iâve ever confessed my feelings to. Are you sure youâre going to reject me?â
âHa! Only a fool would believe him!â She recalled all the different women who came out of his office with
their clothes and hair all messed up. She would never believe him!
Annie shook her head to clear her mind. âMister Aaron, are you saying all this because you canât stand
seeing me with someone else? So you want to see if you can get me back to prove youâre still as
charming as ever? If thatâs the case, I suggest you let me go. Iâm not the kind of girl who can fall head
over heels just to be dumped in the end.â
Aaron knew he himself had done a lot of hurtful things in the past. He buried his head into her shoulder
and said coquettishly, âIâm being very seriousâ¦â
Annieâs heart started to tremble. âWhat⦠What is he trying to pull here?â
Even though she told herself not to give in to him, she still found herself unable to hold herself back.
âSh*t⦠I donât think I can hold on anymore.â
âUh⦠Mister Aaron, Iâ¦â
âShh⦠Donât say anything until youâve heard what I have to say,â said Aaron raspily. He kept her
trapped between his arms.
The reason he buried his head into her shoulder was that he did not dare to face her after doing so
many hurtful things to her in the past.
