Chapter 1365
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
âYou shouldâve listened to me in the first place when I told you to confess your feelings for Jeremy. The
best-case scenario is he accepts your feelings, and the worst is he doesnât. I donât get why you want to
first be friends with him. Youâre just wasting your youth that way!â
Even then, Sophia did not agree with her fatherâs point of view.
âDad, you donât understand! Jeremy is different from other guys. If I confessed my feelings to him
straightaway, he wouldâve ignored me long ago. I wonât even have the chance to be friends with him!â
âHeh! Who cares if he ignores you? There are plenty more fish in the sea. Besides, youâre a daughter
of Adam! Youâll never have to worry about not finding a boyfriend. Iâll find you a few more guys who are
even more handsome than that Jeremy!â
âHow can you compare other guys with Jeremy? I donât care, Dad. I wonât go for anyone else other
than Jeremy!â said Sophia stubbornly. âYou must do something about Corinne. Get rid of her for all I
care. I never want to see her around Jeremy ever again.â
Sophia had never seen Anya as her love rival since she knew Jeremy would never fall for a fake,
manipulative woman like her. However, she never expected Corinne to come into the picture.
Initially, Sophia had no intention to kill Corinne since she worried that would make Jeremy hate her.
Also, she feared that Corinne would ever take up space in Jeremyâs heart. Jeremy would forever
remember her since she died at the time when he loved her the most.
However, Sophia did not have the luxury to care so much anymore. She felt that there would be no
chance for her to get together with Jeremy anymore if she did not get rid of Corinne.
Even though Adam did not like Jeremy because of how he treated his daughter, he could not bear to
see his daughter so sad, so he said, âDonât worry, sweetheart. Iâm going to teach that b*tch a lesson for
stealing your man from you. There, there. You must be tired after flying. Why donât you go take a bath
and rest for a bit? You can leave everything else to me.â
Sophia nodded pitifully before extricating herself from his arms and walking into the manor.
Murder flashed discernibly across Adamâs face as he stared at Sophiaâs pitiful figure walking toward the
manor. He then ordered his men to get every information they could on Corinne.
â¦
On her way to the manor, Sophia bumped into a beautiful woman who looked to be 40 years old and a
little girl of around seven or eight years old. The beautiful woman had long hair and a kindly and
graceful demeanor. Her gestures gave off a mature and intelligent vibe.
Nonetheless, it was obvious from the way Sophia glared at her that she did not like that woman.
âHomewrecker!â Sophia spat at her.
âOh, Sophia. Youâre back,â said the woman, smiling at her as though she did not hear her insult. She
turned to the little girl beside her and said, âLilin, your sister is back. Hurry and greet her.â
The little girl was hugging a teddy bear close to her chest. She glared at Sophia stubbornly and said,
âSheâs not my sister! Sheâs a bad person for bullying you, Mommy!â
âLilin, how can you say that about your sister? Apologize to her now!â
The little girl turned her head away. âNo! I didnât say anything wrong! Why should I apologize to her?â
The woman looked embarrassed and said apologetically, âSophia, donât mind her. Sheâs too young to
know whatâs good for her. Iâm going to reprimand her and make her apologize to you later.â
Sophia scoffed. âOh, please. You can drop the act. She wouldnât have said all those things if you hadnât
taught her. You know what? I donât care if she doesnât want me as her sister, because I donât want her
as my sister as well!â
