Chapter 1415
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Corinne woke up to the sight of everyone standing around her and looking at her as though she was
some rare animal.
Feeling terribly weak, as well as stinging pain in her lower body, she found herself unable to sit up.
âWell done, Corinne. You gave birth to a twin boy and girl!" said Annie, who was sitting by her bed with
tears in her eyes.
âTwin boy and girl? That canât be right.I remember I gave birth to tripletsâ¦â thought Corinne.
Corinne knew she was carrying triplets.
It was not the case when she ran away from Jeremy.
Due to the limitations then, she did not go for her usual regular check-ups, so it was only until she got
back to her doctor in New Capital City that she found out she was carrying triplets.
âYou did well, Corinne. Both of the babies are very healthy," said Lucas as he stroked her forehead
lovingly.
Corinne was still a little blurry from the pain, causing her to wonder if her memory of being told she was
carrying a triplet by the doctor was all in her imagination.
âWhere are my babies? I want to see themâ¦"
Xante walked over and explained, âBoss, the babies needed to be in the incubator for the time being
because they were born prematurely, not to mention it was a twin birth.
They came out only weighing less than eight pounds each.
But donât worry, theyâre both very healthy and are being looked after by nurses who are experienced in
taking care of premature babies."
Corinne was too weak to question anything else.
She thought what Xante said must be true since she was her friend, so she nodded and said, âOkay.Iâm
happy as long as theyâre healthy.
But do ask the nurse to bring them to me when theyâre out of the incubator."
âWill do, Boss," said Xante without hesitation.
After that, Corinne instinctively looked at each of the faces around her.
She was obviously looking failed to locate him, she asked in a lost voice, âWhereâs Jeremy?"
Everyone fell silent for a minute.
Aaron was the first to break the silence.
âHe isnât back yet.Since you gave birth earlier than expected, itâll take him some time to get back."Annie
glanced at him and added, âAâ¦Aaronâs right.Uncle Jeremy isnât back yet.Iâm sure heâll rush over here
to see you as soon as his plane touches down!"
âHe isnât back yet?â thought Corinne with a frown.
âHow is that possible? I clearly remember seeing him in the delivery room.
I even bit his arm!â Everyoneâs face became guilt-ridden when they saw the lost look on Corinneâs face.
Äau gá»i? Thá» ngay phương pháp nà y má»i ngà y - Äỡ táºn gá»c! Wellgo Jeremy had secretly snuck out
with the first baby and seemingly vanished into thin air while everyoneâs attention was on Corinne.
When it was all over, nobody could get him on the phone again.
They were afraid the news would send Corinne into unnecessary shock, so they had come to the
consensus to hide the news from her.
It was best to find out where and why Jeremy had taken the first baby before telling her the whole story.
âCould it be that I wanted to see him so much that it gave way to me hallucinating about him?â thought
Corinne, trying to get to the bottom of it.
âJeremy shouldâve landed by now, so why didnât he come to see me?â âCorinne, you should rest up. Iâve
arranged for my bodyguards to keep watch of the babies, so donât worry," said Lucas in a bid to distract
her.
âWhereâs my phone?" asked Corinne.
She wanted to call Jeremy to tell him she had given birth to his babies and ask him why he was not
there with her.
In fact, she would even throw in a few angry words for good measure.
Lucas frowned and stroked her pale cheeks.
âNow, now.Itâs not good to look at your phone when youâre still so weak from giving birth. You need to
give your eyes some time to rest, or theyâll go bad.â
