Chapter 1466
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Edmund opened the cubicle door and saw Joeyâs hands dripping wet and his face all scrunched up.
âSorry. I⦠I didnât mean to do it! Mister, I accidentally made Joey trip, and both of his hands went into
the toilet bowl,â said âBryanâ guiltily.
Edmund was speechless. âI guess itâs true you can never take your eyes off of kids since all kinds of
things can happenâ¦â
Edmund did not know whether to laugh or cry when he saw Joey looking at his own hands with disgust.
âItâs okay, Joey. Weâll just need to give your hands a good wash. Letâs go over to the sink now,â he
comforted him.
Joey was kind of a clean freak as well. He was visibly made uncomfortable by the toilet bowl water on
his hands, so he quickly nodded and followed Edmund over to the sink.
By the time Edmund turned around after he finished helping Joey wash his hands, âBryanâ was already
gone.
âSh*t, this isnât good!â he thought with a frown.
Meanwhile, in the other private booth, Sophia was carrying the real Bryan in her arms.
Bryan did not like being carried by her, so he kept trying to break free.
âLet me down!â he cried with a repulsed expression.
Sophia hugged him tighter. âStop squirming, Benjamin. Both your Daddy and I are here on business, so
be a good boy and settle down!â
Even though Sophiaâs tone was gentle, Bryan still could not help but feel intense dislike for her.
âNo! I donât want you to carry me. Itâs hot!â
Sophia frowned unhappily. âYouâre speaking nonsense again. How is it hot when the AC is on?â
Bryan was frowning as well. âItâs just hot! I donât want to be carried. Let me go now!â
Sophia was starting to get impatient. âBenjamin, can you please stopâ¦â
âJust let him sit by himself if he doesnât want to be carried,â said Jeremy calmly.
Sophiaâs face froze. Not wanting to argue with Jeremy, she had no choice but to let Bryan go. The only
reason she wanted to carry âBenjaminâ was to show Jeremy what a good mother she was and not really
because she wanted to be close to the little boy.
âBenjaminâ dashed over to Jeremy and opened up his chubby little arms. âDaddy, carry me!â
Without hesitation, Jeremy picked him up and put him on his lap with one arm still wrapped around him.
Seeing this, Sophiaâs face darkened. However, she quickly squeezed out a fake smile and said
sarcastically, âBenjamin, didnât you say you were hot? How come Mommy canât carry you but Daddy
can?â
âBenjaminâ glared at her. âHmph! Youâre not my Mommy!â
âWhy you little bratâ¦â Sophia immediately stopped smiling. âZachary, arenât you going to say anything?
He wouldnât call me Mommy before, and now he says Iâm not his Mommy? Is this what I get for giving
birth to him and raising him? Oh, how it breaks my heart to hear that!â
Jeremy glanced at the hurt Sophia without so much as a changed expression. âHe would naturally call
you Mommy if you respected him as a person.â
Sophia looked even more hurt than before. âAre you saying I donât respect him at all? Itâs not like I can
let him do whatever he wants, right? No! As his mother, I need to discipline him. He might act all good
in front of you, but you have no idea how naughty he is when heâs with me. How can I not discipline him
then?â
Jeremy frowned with annoyance. âThatâs enough! Weâre here on business today, so letâs talk about this
when weâre back. Plus, youâll only scare Benjamin if you act all emotional now!â
As much as Sophia was upset by Jeremyâs cold attitude toward her, she knew the auction house was
not a place to have a public family argument. That could prevent the piece of land they were selling
from fetching a high price.
