Chapter 1524
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Chapter 1524
Annie crossed her arms and pouted. âFine. Save your sass for later, and get into your work mode
quickly. Otherwise, Corinne isnât going to believe youâre a professional if she sees you like this.â
David smiled and turned to look at Corinne, who was still sitting in the living room. He had his fair share
of seeing things and people of different kinds, but a flicker of shock crossed his eyes when he saw her.
He walked over and extended his hand politely. âHello, Miss Corinne. I heard quite a lot about you from
Annie,â he greeted.
Corinne put down âBryanâ, got up slowly, and shook Davidâs hand lightly.â Hello.â
She had not even held Davidâs hand for one second before she pulled it away. Through this
handshake, David could tell what kind of personality she had.
âPlease take a seat, and letâs have a talk,â said David.
Corinne did not see herself as his guest but as his client. Thus, she acted as such.
âWhat would you like to drink?â asked David in a gentlemanly manner after they had all taken a seat.
âWarm water would be fine, thanks,â replied Corinne.
David nodded and turned to âBryanâ, asking him gently, âAnd what would you like to drink, buddy? We
have everything here.â
âBryanâ said nothing. He did not like the man in the white coat because of the way he looked at Corinne.
âHeâll have a glass of soda,â said Corinne on behalf of Bryanâ.
âSure,â said David with a smile. He then asked his housekeeper to serve the drinks before saying to
Corinne curiously, Most mothers donât like their kids drinking soda, and yet you seem like you donât
mind.â
âI donât mind if itâs once in a while. Heâs a little nervous right now, and drinking soda always calms him
down,â replied Corinne.
David nodded understandingly.
Annie crossed her arms with annoyance. âHey, Doctor David. I happen to be your old client, so why
didnât you ask me if I wanted anything to drink?â
David turned to Annie. âItâs exactly because youâre my old client that I didnât ask you what you would
like to drink. After all, you can take whatever you like to drink from the fridge. Isnât that what you always
do when you come here?â
Annie laughed. âArenât you afraid of losing me as a client?â
David smiled. âOh, come on. Letâs cut the chase. Didnât you say you brought a friend for counseling? Is
it Miss Corinne?â
Annie nodded. âYeah.â
David immediately got into work mode.
âMiss Corinne, what seems to be troubling you?â he asked seriously.
Corinne patted âBryanâ on the shoulder. âItâs not me. Itâs my son.â
