Chapter 1536
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
-Jeremy had no idea he had other kids apart from Benjamin since he had been brainwashed by the
hypnotherapist Sophia hired.
âSh*t! If he knew Benjamin wasnât Benjamin but pretended not to know about it in front of meâ¦that
means heâs beginning to suspect something,â thought Sophia.
Sophiaâs eyes darkened. She was the type that would rather destroy the very thing she loved if it meant
no one else could have it.
Corinne placed the still-sleeping Benjamin on the bed and went to the bathroom to take a shower. After
that, she changed into some loose clothes.
Benjamin was still sleeping when she came out. She walked over to the window and watched lovingly
at Joey and Christine playing in the garden.
It was only after she summoned a servant to watch over Benjamin that she went down to the garden to
check on Joey and Christine.
It was not noon yet, but the sun was scorching hot.
Corinne looked helplessly at the two children, who did not seem to mind the sun at all, before walking
over to stand under Francineâs umbrella.
âAlright, kids! Time to come in. You two are going to get sunburned if you donât stop playing outside
now!â
The two children, who were fighting over who got to hold the kite spool, immediately turned to look at
Corinne when they heard her voice. They then threw the kite spool to the ground and ran over to her.
âMommy, youâre back!â said Joey while holding her hand happily.
Corinne smiled and nodded. âYup. Here I am.â
Christine wrapped herself around Corinneâs legs. Her cute face was so bouncy that it did not look at all
burnt from the sun.
âMommy, what took you so long? Did you bring any gifts back for me and Joey?â
she asked, looking up at her and reaching up her hands.
Corinne patted her little hands. âYouâve been playing the whole morning. Isnât that enough? Are gifts all
you can think about?â
Christine immediately knew she was not getting any gifts. âMommy, you only brought Bryan out to
playâ¦and now you forgot to bring gifts back for me and Joey?â she said with a pout.
Corinne did not forget, but she was embarrassed to ask Jason to bring her to the toy shop before
dropping her home.
âI shouldnât have promised her lightly,â thought Corinne. She squatted and pulled both Joey and
Christine into a hug. âMommy didnât forget. I didnât get you two anything because Iâm planning to bring
you two out so you can choose what gifts you want, okay?â
The children were naturally happy to get to choose their own gifts.
âOkay! Okay!â cried Joey and Christine happily in unison.
Christine wrapped her arms around Corinneâs neck and rubbed her nose on it.
âMommy, I love you so much!â
Corinneâs heart nearly melted. âDo you love Mommy or the Mommy who buys you gifts?â âMommy, of
course!â said Corinne with a straight face, âBut I love the Mommy who buys me gifts more. Hahahaha!â
Corinne was speechless. âOh well, she is my daughter.â Francine stood looking at them from the side.
âCorinne, do you know they were only willing to put down the kite after youâre back?â she asked with a
pout. âYou have no idea how much I tried to coax them to come in, but they completely ignored me!
They said they hadnât finished playing. Look at my skin! Theyâre all burnt. The sunscreen Iâve put on
has already worn off!â
Corinne looked up at Francine and said sincerely, âThanks, Francine. I really appreciate you babysitting
them. You should head back in to rest. I can look after them now.â
