Chapter 1546
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Annie folded her arms. âWhat are you going to say now? Everything I said was true, and you know it! If
youâre as amazing as you claim to be, you wouldnât even need to go on a blind date to get a woman.â
Gibby was furious and slammed his hands on the table as he stood up. â Did you think Iâd willingly
choose an old, unwanted woman like you if our parents didnât know each other?â
Annie glared at him. âWho are you calling old and unwanted? Iâm younger than you! If your logic is
anything to go, youâre the one who is an old, unwanted man!â
Gibby could not contain his temper and reached for the juice on the table. He was seconds away from
splashing it all over Annieâs face when a hand appeared out of nowhere and held him back.
Annie flinched instinctively to avoid the impending splash, which never came.
When she looked up, she was surprised that Aaron appeared and stopped Gibby in the nick of time. He
took the glass and poured it calmly into a trash can beneath the table.
Gibby was perplexed by the sudden intervention. He frowned as he looked at the stranger who
grabbed the glass and poured out its contents. âWho are you?
Why did you pour out the drink?â
Aaron placed the empty glass on the table and smiled. âWhy? Because I canât stand to see a grown
man like you splash juice at a woman.â
Gibby stood up and realized he was significantly shorter than Aaron, who was 186 centimeters tall.
Gibbyâs height hardly came close to being 180 centimeters as he had claimed. He felt utterly humiliated
in front of a man who far surpassed him in looks and height, and that led to increased agitation from
him. âThis is between me and my girlfriend! Who are you to butt in and interfere? Get out of my sight
and stop meddling in other peopleâs affairs!â
Aaron chuckled upon hearing this. âYour girlfriend? Are you referring to the lovely young woman sitting
across from you?â
Gibby raised his head proudly. âThatâs her! Now get lost! This is none of your business! If you donât
leave, Iâll have the restaurantâs security escort you out!â
Aaron snorted lightly and swiftly pulled out a chair to sit beside Annie.â Feel free to call security. Weâll
see if theyâll throw me out, or if theyâll want to get rid of a creep like you who has no shame in
assaulting women.â
Gibby became even more incensed after seeing Aaron sit. âDid I say you could sit with us? Get up and
stay away from my girlfriend!â
Aaron paid no heed to him and glanced affectionately at Annie instead. He asked, âHe says youâre his
girlfriend. Is that true?â
Annie was reeling from the shock of Aaronâs sudden appearance. It was only when she met his
captivating gaze that she snapped out of it and shook her head. âNo, I just met him today.â
Once Annie provided her response, Aaron looked up at Gibby. âHear that, pal?
Annie said she doesnât know you.â
Gibby was stunned for a brief moment, and he immediately pointed at the two of them. âYou two know
each other?â
âYes,â Aaron answered with a smile. âIâve been trying to win her heart for three years now, but she
hasnât reciprocated any of my gestures yet.â
Gibby felt unable to compete with Aaronâs far better appearance, so he resorted to sarcastic remarks.
âHaha! Is that so? Why are you even interested in someone like her? Sheâs an old and unwanted
woman who was almost married once. Iâm sure you can tell sheâs not a virgin! Your taste in women is
pretty bad!â
