Chapter 239
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Chapter 239
There was a moon motif in Jeremyâs horseâs name. Was that moon referring to the apple of his eye,
Luna Rivera?
Chasing the moon, and chasing the apple of his eyeâ¦
Jeremy leaned forward to her ear and asked when he noticed Corinne was zoning out, âWhatâs
wrong?â
Corinne regained her senses and stroked the horseâs mane. Nothing. This is a good horse.â
âYou like to ride horses?â
âYeah. Itâs not bad,â Corinne replied.
Suddenly, Jeremy placed his hand on her waist and whispered into her ear, âYou didnât have fun this
time. We can come here by ourselves in the future.â
Corinne was stunned. âIs he confused or something? There are only two months left in the contract,
and there wonât be any â usâ afterward.â
He then grabbed her waist as though checking the quality of a product. He then teased, âWhy are you
so thin when you always eat a lot?â
Corinne was displeased to have heard this. âI donât care.â
Jeremy chuckled. âEat more. Itâs nicer to touch if youâre
pier 730
fleshier.â
Corinne blushed as she grabbed his hand. âHey, control yourself, and take your hand off!â
âStop moving, or Iâll show you know how I canât control myself.â
Corinne was speechless. She knew riding on the same horse with him was never a good idea.

In the resort.
Rosie and the others were back in her room.
Jeremy and Corinne arrived late.
There were a group of people by Rosieâs bed, watching as the doctor examined her injury.
Once the doctor finished examining her leg, he solemnly
reported, âYou should bring her to the hospital for surgery. I donât have the appropriate equipment, so I
canât give her a full examination. But based on my experiences, her ligament must have torn.â
Her ligament was torn?
Rosie was in so much pain that her face paled. Nonetheless, she feebly asked as she leaned on the
headrest, âMy ligament is torn? Doctor, can Iâ¦still dance?â
The doctorâs expression grew troubled. âWell, if you
recuperate, you can surely do so. But perhaps you wonât dance as flexibly as previously.â
Rosieâs eyes widened in disbelief. âIâm a professional ballet dancer! If I canât dance perfectly, whatâs the
meaning for me to live?â
âRosie, donât be upset,â comforted Sunny. âLetâs get you to the hospital first. Maybe itâs not going to
affect anything once. you recover.â
Zeke, too, consoled her and went to contact the nearest
hospital to have them send an ambulance over.
Rosie looked very distraught as she wept to herself for a while and took out her phone to call someone.
The person on the other end of the line answered.
âHello, Luna. I donât think I can make it anymore,â she said weakly. âIf thereâs an afterlife, letâs be best
friends again. Take care of yourselfâ¦â
As she hung up the phone, she passed out due to the pain.
Shocked, Sunny held Rosieâs shoulder and shook her vehemently. âRosie, what happened? Wake up!
Doctor, check on her!â
The doctor approached and opened Rosieâs eyelid. âSheâs fine. She passed out due to the pain, and
she was too emotional.
Still, itâs best to send her to the hospital as soon as possible.â
Right then, Sunnyâs phone rang. One glance at the caller ID shocked him, but he quickly accepted the
call. âAnya, Iâm with Rosie! Donât worry. She fell and hurt herself, and sheâs a bit emotional, but sheâs
not in danger!
âDonât worry. Iâll take care of her. Oh! Jeremy is here too. Okay
Sunny turned and walked toward Jeremy with his phone.
Jeremy, my sister is on the phone, and she wants to talk to you.
