Chapter 361
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Chapter 361
Everything originated from Jeremyâs change of attitude toward her.
Corinne waved her hand and said, âItâs fine. Iâll get lunch on my own.â
Bowen hurriedly asked, âWhere are you going, maâam? Shall I ask the driver to send you there?â
Corinne walked toward the gate and said, âNo thanks. I was thinking of going out for a walk anyway.â
Bowen still did not feel at ease. âUmm⦠Did you bring your cell phone with you? Is it fully charged?
Thatâll make it much easier for Mister Jeremy to look for you. Itâll be terrible if something happens to
you and he canât contact you.â
He remembered when Jeremy came back from a business trip and was unable to reach Corinne after
she did not return the entire night. Jeremy searched frantically for her throughout the night and barely
stopped short of turning the entire city upside down.
Just thinking of this left Bowen feeling horrified.
Corinne changed her shoes at the entrance while saying, âDonât worry. I wonât lose it! You should get
back to what you were doing, Bowen. Iâll be leaving now.â
Bowen had no choice but to obey and bowed to see her off. âTake care, maâam. Be careful out there.â
âI will,â Corinne replied and walked out leisurely.
Sunny had heard Bowen talking to Corinne, so he turned his head and looked over to wait until he saw
Corinne exiting the house. As soon as he spotted her, he exited his mobile game and got up to chase
after her.
After leaving the gate of Holdenâsâ estate, Sunny caught up with her and asked, âHey, Corinne. Where
are you heading?â
Corinne ignored him and hummed her favorite tune as she strolled to the nearest bus stop.
Sunny was not too happy when he got ignored, so he stepped in front of her and frowningly said, âI
asked you a question! Where are you going? Are you dumb or deaf?â
After being forced to stop, Corinne raised her eyebrows lazily and asked, âWhat are you, my mom? Do
I have to tell you where Iâm going?â
Faced with Corinneâs disgusted eyes, Sunny remembered that he had come to ask for forgiveness and
felt a little guilty again. âWell, no, Iâm not⦠Didnât you say you wanted to deal with me? Youâve been
dragging this for such a long time, so I came to ask how long youâre going to give me the cold
shoulder.â
Corinne felt that it was a little pointless to say anything to him. âHow do you expect me to deal with you
when you didnât do it?â
Sunny was taken aback and looked at her in surprise. âYou⦠You believe I wasnât the culprit? Whyâd
you let me stay here, then?â
Corinne rolled her eyes. âWould you have the chance to enjoy your games here at the Holdensâ if I
didnât tell you to stay?â
Sunniâs mind went blank for a moment. Had he gone home with his sister, his brotherâs
subordinates would watch him like a hawk while he studied. He could barely have any chance to
catch his breath!
By the time Sunny realized that, Corinne had walked past him. Sunny did not stop her anymore and
meekly followed her as he asked puzzledly, âWhy do you believe in me? Didnât I bully you a few times
in the past? I thought you wouldnât see me in a good lightâ¦â
Corinne chuckled and said, âI donât see you in a good light, but in my opinion, you donât have enough
IQ to make all those articles online in such a short period.â
Sunniâs handsome, youthful face turned sour, and he became angry. âHow dare you look down on
me?!â
In response, Corinne turned around and glanced at him, âIâm curious, though. Why would a proud
young man like you admit to something you didnât do?â
