Chapter 507
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Chapter 507
âIsnât he a germaphobe?â thought Corinne with a frown. She found the whole thing weird but told herself
to focus on the game instead.
âHurry up and play the cards,â she said out loud.
In the end, she put down her last card on the table and won the final round.
She raised her eyebrow and said, âI look forward to your strip dance, Mister Callen.â
The smile instantly disappeared from Zekeâs face.
âYeah, Zeke. Youâre the one who said youâd put on a strip show for us if you lose. I hope you donât go
back on your words,â said Jason with an expression that said he was enjoying the situation.
Zeke crossed his arms and scoffed, âJason, are you or are you not my friend? Why do you look so
happy to see me lose?â
âYou have no one but yourself to blame!â said Gerald coldly.
Zeke pretended to be hurt. âYou too, Gerald?â
Jason and Gerald continued to make fun of Zeke when suddenly, Corinne heard Jeremy whispering
coldly into her ear. âLady Luck must be smiling down on you today, Miss Carew.â
Corinne was stunned. She did not turn to look at him.
Instead, she replied in a small voice, âYes, she must, but I still have to thank you for helping me out.â
âArenât you old enough to know that the banker always has the upper hand in a card game? How can
you agree to play with Zeke when youâre not even sure that you can win?â
âI had no choice but to play with him since I didnât want to be his secretary.â
Jeremy stayed silent for a minute and then he took a sip of another water. âSo youâre saying you only
want to be Lucasâ secretary?â
Corinne nodded honestly. âYes. Thatâs correct.â
Jeremy did not say anything else. Instead, his hand tightened around the glass, making his knuckles
even more pronounced. In fact, he held on so tightly to the glass that it looked about to shatter into a
million pieces.
Corinne suddenly felt a cold vibe swirling around her, making her subconsciously move away from
Jeremy. That little movement of hers did not escape Jeremyâs vision, and it hurt him to no end to see
her reacting like that.
At that moment, Gerald got up from the table in a bid to drag Zeke-who was trying to escape -to the
dance floor to do his strip dance.
âCome on, Zeke. Donât be a sore loser. You need to uphold your end of the bargain,â Gerald said in a
jesting tone.
Jason smiled and said, âCorinne, Jeremy. Do you want to join us in the banquet hall to watch. Zekeâs
strip dance?â
Jeremy did not make to get up. Although he said he wanted to watch Zekeâs strip dance a few
moments ago, he was not actually interested in it.
Corinne, however, immediately got up. âSure thing! Looks like itâs the guestsâ lucky day to be able to
witness Zekeâs show.â
âTsk tsk tsk. You naughty people. I never knew you guys were so interested in my naked body. You
dogs,â said Zeke cheekily.
Everyone was speechless.
The corners of Corinneâs lips twitched a few times. âI canât believe he still has the mood to joke around
like that.â
Gerald pushed Zeke to the middle of the dance floor in the banquet hall. The couples who were
dancing the waltz did not know what was happening, but they all stopped and gave way to Zeke when
they saw him along with Jeremy, Gerald, and Jason standing there.
There was a stubborn emotion on Zekeâs yuppie and handsome face, but that smile looked even
sadder than if he was to cry.
