Chapter 569
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Chapter 569
Corinne was still distracted and playing her game. âYes, Mister Sunny. Go ahead. Iâm listening!
Sunny got up and put his arms on her desk, leaning closer to her, and questioned her, âTell me the
truth. Why did you leave the Holdens?â
Hearing this question, Corinne stopped moving her mouse for a moment so brief it was barely
noticeable. Then, she pursed her lips a little, still not batting an eye. âIâve completed my mission, so of
course, I should leave.â
Sunnyâs handsome and youthful eyes were filled with confusion. âMission? What mission?â
It was only then glanced at him indifferently. âDidnât you already know this for a long time? Mister
Jeremy was never serious about marrying me from the beginning. He was just asking me to help him
deal with the elders in his family! Iâve completed my mission after that, so if 1 donât leave, Iâll truly
become your sisterâs love rival, wonât I?â
Sunny was taken aback, staring at the way she looked as she said it so casually. He pursed hist lips,
wanting to say something, but he held his tongue.
At that moment, someone knocked on Corrineâs office door.
Lucasâs secretary, Sienna, poked her head into the room and said, âMister Sunny, Miss Anya has left.
Mister Lucas sent me to ask you to go back to the office and continue doing your homework!â
Sunny had a slight headache and felt troubled as soon as he heard he had to return to do his
homework.
âAlright, I got it. You may first return. Iâll have a few words with Miss Corinne, then Iâll return on my
own!â
âAlright, Mister Sunny!â Sienna replied to Sunny respectfully. At the same time, she glanced at Corinne
in annoyance, then surreptitiously rolled her eyes at her!
Corrine was truly a piece of work. It was no wonder why Anya wanted to prevent her from getting close
to Lucas. She wanted to marry above her station so much that she wanted to seduce a kid like Sunny!
How disgusting!
Figuring that Sienna was almost gone, Sunny immediately grabbed Corinneâs hand which controlled
her mouse. âCorinne, come on! Come with me!â
âHuh? Why should I go with you? Mister Lucas didnât ask for me!â Corinne wanted to reject him, but
unfortunately, Sunny was stubborn. He already dragged her out of her office without giving her a
chance to resist.
Sunny did not have time to tell Corinne too much. It was after he ran and dragged her into the elevator
that was about to close that he let out a sigh of relief.
Fortunately, they made it to the elevator, and there was nobody in there.
Corinn shook his hand off. âSunny, whatâs the matter with you? Why did you drag me out?â
Sunny said, âI donât want to go back and do the homework. I donât know how to solve any of the
questions at all. Iâll be getting an earful if I go backâ
Corinne looked at him as if she was looking at someone crazy, and she did not know what to say, âYou
could have just left yourself. Why did you pull me out of there with you?â
Feeling completely justified, Sunny said, âBecause I donât have money on me. If I ran out on my own, I
wonât have money to hail a cab home!â
Corinne was quite speechless.
âMister Sunny, you shouldnât have been so shellfish! Iâm now absent without leave because of you,
which means Iâm going to be scolded by your brother along with you, isnât it?â
Sunny sneered. âEnough with the act, Corinne! I know you didnât join the Rivera Group to work at all, so
why do you care if youâre absent!â
Corinne was slightly dazed as she looked at Sunny in slight surprise. She never expected this dumb
boy would have moments when he was smart. He could tell, could he not? How could he tell?
Sunny turned his face and stared at Corinne seriously. His expression was saying that nothing could be
kept from him because he was smart and wise. âTell me! Are you in love with my brother?â
