Chapter 615
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Chapter 615
Corinne immediately walked around Jeremy and almost ran out of there. However, she had only taken
a few steps before a strong hand reached out and grabbed her roughly on the wrist.
Shocked, she turned around to look at Jeremy. âWhat are you doing?â
Instead of stopping her, Jeremy dragged her toward the exit. Confused, Corinne instinctively tried to
shake off his grip, but she was no match for his strength. Failing to do that, she kept cursing him and
asking him what he was doing to her.
Jeremy completely ignored her and continued to drag her until they came to the parking lot situated
behind the mansion. He then pulled open the car door and shoved her inside.
âStay here until I come back,â he ordered. After that, he closed the car door with a bang.
Corinne frowned anxiously and rubbed her wrist, which was red from Jeremyâs grip. She then looked
outside the window at his retreating figure.
Annoyed, she pondered to herself.
What the hell is he doing? Why did he drag me here and throw me into this car? Wait a minute⦠Why
should I listen to him? Only a fool would do that.â
She reached out to open the door only to discover that it was locked. She pushed the door button in a
bid. to unlock it, but it was of no use as the door remained locked.
Annoyance and anger flared up inside of her. She turned toward the front of the car to look for the
unlock. button and discovered another person in the car with her.
Edmund sat in the driverâs seat, looking at her with confused and resigned eyes. 1
Corinne frowned and said, âEdmund, open the door now.â
Although Edmund did not know what happened between Jeremy and Corinne, he knew not to do
anything. unless specifically instructed by Jeremy.
âMiss Corinne, you heard what Mister Jeremy said too. I donât have permission to let you out of the car.
Itâs best if you wait for him to return, or itâll be my job on the line.â
Corinne was speechless. She understood where he came from, so she decided not to make his life
difficult. However, that did not mean she was not still angry.
-âWhat gives Jeremy the right to lock me in here? We donât owe each other anything, and weâve got
nothing
to do with each other anymore. How dare he interfere with my personal freedom?! When will he ever
change that self-centered character flaw of his? Does he think he can control anyone just because heâs
rich and powerful? Hmmph!â
âHere, Miss Corinne.â
Instead of opening the door, Edmund respectfully passed her a packet of wet tissues.
Corinneâs hair was still wet from the coffee.
âThank you!â she said as she accepted the wet tissue. She may as well clean the coffee off herself
since she could not go anywhere.
Edmund looked on courteously as Corinne dried her hair. âMiss Corinne, forgive me for asking this, but
may I know where youâve been all this while?â
Corinne was busy cleaning herself up, so she replied absent-mindedly, âMy agreement with your boss
has ended, so I can go anywhere I want. That means I donât have to report my whereabouts to any of
you.â
Edmund fell silent for a while before saying, âMister Jeremy has been looking all over for you.
