Chapter 741
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Chapter 741
Corinne then continued, âItâs different for you, though. If you want to get married in the future, youâd
want a wellâmatched and wealthy family, yes? Donât you think youâll only embarrass yourself if you
were sent back by your inâlaws because youâre not diligent enough and canât even do basic chores?
Iâm specifically creating a learning opportunity for you, and I believe youâll be able to do it by starting
with your chores.â
âYouâ¦â Francine gritted her teeth, evidently irked. âYouâre a sly woman, Corinne! Iâm not going to do
these dirty house chores regardless of what you say today! Hmph!â
Corinne remained calm as she said, âIf you donât want to do it, thatâs fine too. This household doesnât
need a second idler in this household aside from me, so Iâll tell your brother to send you to live with
your mom once he comes back later tonight.â
She came to know about Francineâs weakness earlier that morning when Jeremy reprimanded
Francine, and it turned out that Francine drew the line at leaving the Holdens and having to live with
her mother.
Though the reasons behind that might be unclear, it was sufficient that Corinne knew what the reason
was.
Francine nearly lost it at that moment, and she pointed angrily at Corinne. âCorinne, you⦠Youâ¦
Youâ¦â
Corinne smiled devilishly. âWhatâll it be, then? The chores, or living with your mother?â
Francine did not want to do the chores, but she was genuinely afraid that Corinne might tell Jeremy to
send her away. After all, Jeremy was bewitched by Corinneâs beauty and could not extricate himself
from her charm. As a result, he would listen to every single thing that Corinne said.
âD*mn you, Corinne! Iâll get my revenge on you one day!â
Francine gritted her teeth and caved in. âFine, Iâll do it! This is just a bit of housework anyway!
âI canât wait to see the results.â Corinne smiled, then turned to Bowen and said, âI wonât be home after
lunch, Bowen, and Iâm sure youâve heard Miss Francine willingly say that sheâll be doing all the
housework. If anyone dares to help her with the work, their actions are to be construed as tendering
their resignation. I hope you can set an example for the other servants and supervise her on my
behalf.â
Bowen was taken aback by her courage. âYes, Maâam!â
Francine stared at Corinne viciously, wishing that her stares were potent enough to kill Corinne, but
Corinne ignored Francineâs glares and walked leisurely back to her room. She then changed into the
clothes that she planned to wear when she went out.
After lunch, she looked at the time and saw that it was still far too early for Jeremy to get off work. It
would be such a bore to wait for him, and she did not want to sleep again like a lazy woman, so she
decided to go to Newmoon Group.
Xante and Aaron were very excited to see her when she arrived at the presidentâs office.
Aaron joked, âYou look pretty rosy today, boss. Did you have a wonderful night last night?â
Corinneâs cheeks turned slightly red. She flipped through the documents in her hand, raised her eyes,
and glanced at him sullenly. âCanât you think about something else?â
