Chapter 745
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Chapter 745
Corinne looked at Annieâs delicate, fairâcomplexioned face. âYouâre pretty, but your IQ leaves much to
be desired.â
âYouâre beautiful, but youâre just not his type.â
Annie blinked. âIâm not? Then whatâs his type?â
Corinne said, âYou donât have to worry about that anymore, and you no longer have to seduce him.
Jeremy and I are together now.â
Annie was surprised. âYou reconciled with him? When?!â
âYesterday.â Corinne nodded. She glanced at the time before turning to look at the Holden Groupâs
entrance.
âItâs only been a day, then. Still, Iâm glad you reconciled with him! I can rest at ease for a while now, or
Iâm worried heâd start to suffer from depression!â
âDonât you think your impression of him is a little too fragile? Even if I donât reconcile with him, he
wouldnât go so far as to get depressed and mope over it!â
Annie said very seriously, âHe will, I swear! My uncle cares about you too much! You have to believe
me on this! Heâll get depressed without you by his side, so you must promise never to leave him again!â
Corinne still felt that Annie was exaggerating. She placed her arms on the table, rested her chin lazily
on her palm, and gazed thoughtfully at the Holden Group building. Though she no longer doubted her
position in Jeremyâs heart, she sometimes felt that everything was a little. surreal. Her first encounter
with him was so dramatic and disharmonious that she never expected them to one day turn into lovers.
Annie then suddenly leaned over furtively, âSo⦠Since you and Uncle Jeremy have gotten back
together⦠Do you think you can help me?â
Corinne snapped back to her senses and looked at Annie. âWith what?â
Annie blushed and said, âI⦠I want to win over your childhood friendâs heart. You seem to know his
type well, so can you help me?â
âCough, cough!â Corinne choked on her breath and glared at Annie.
Annie was puzzled by Corinneâs ghastly look toward her. She felt very embarrassed at first, and she
soon found it a little uncomfortable to be stared at like that. âWhatâs wrong, Corinne?â
Corinne needed a while to regain her composure, and she finally frowned, saying, âNothing. What is it
about Aaron that caught your eye?â
Annie unconsciously revealed her lovestruck expression when she thought of Aaron. âHeâs handsome!
He loves to smile, and heâs always so bubbly! His smile is just so charming that it brightens my day
whenever I see him! Heâs also very patient, and he speaks softly to all his employees. Heâs exactly the
kind of man I like! To be honest, I nearly abandoned my plan from the moment I laid eyes on him. I can
understand why youâd marry him instead of my aloof uncle!â
Corinne massaged her temples. âThatâs because you donât understand Aaronâs nature! I suggest you
find someone else because Aaron isnât suitable for you.â
The blow she suffered before even doing anything left Annie puzzled. âWhy? Do you think Iâm not good
enough for your childhood friend?â
Corinne said, âNo, youâre more than good enough for him. Heâs the one who isnât good
enough to be with you.â She was not trying to belittle Aaron on purposeâAaron was simply terrible at
dating.
Every girl who dated him ended up heartbroken.
Annie shook her head. âHeâs so handsome! Why isnât he good enough to be with you? Iâm begging you,
Corinne! Just help me! Heâs exactly the kind of guy I like!â
Corinne did not know how to deal with her lovestruck niece. She glanced out the window and saw
Jeremy coming out of the Holden Group. Her eyes then lit up immediately as if she had seen her
savior.
âAnnie, look! Uncle Jeremy just got off work!â
