Chapter 860
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Chapter 860
âMister, did I get everything right?â Corinne turned to look at Jeremy with a raised brow.
Jeremy fixed his eyes on her. âHow do you know all this?â
Corinne smiled and lifted his chin cheekily. âBecause I was the girl who saved you back then!â Jeremyâs
eyes widened in shock. He grabbed her wrist and asked, âIt was you?â
Corinne nodded. âYup. You were gone when I brought you a roll of bun on the last day. I thought you
had been taken off by the wolves, so I buried a few more buns on the spot to commemorate you.â
Jeremy was speechless. He frowned and looked at her in disbelief. âIt was her all along! No wonder Iâve
never gotten the sense of honesty from Anyaâ¦â
Corinne tilted her head. âWhatâs the matter, Mister? You donât seem happy at the news.â
Jeremy snapped out of his shock. He felt immensely happy at the wonderful fate he shared with
Corinne. He kissed her hand and asked seductively, âHave you known about this for a long time? Why
didnât you tell me sooner?â
Corinne pouted. âI only found out about this not that long ago. But, I feel like thereâs nothing to tell since
I donât plan to use this to emotionally blackmail you into loving me. And the only reason I decided to tell
you today is because I canât stand to see you being lied to by other people anymore.â
Jeremy pulled her into a tight hug. âOh, you little rascal! Thank you for saving me back then!â Corinne
almost felt like all the air had been squeezed out of her. âHey, Mister! Youâre hugging me too tight. I
canât breathe!â
Anya was immediately filled with jealousy. She wanted to be hugged like that by Jeremy, too! âHowâ¦
How did this happen? Corinne was the one who saved Jeremy back then? Noâ¦thatâs impossible!
Thereâs no way Iâm going to believe that. She must be lying!â
Anya sniffed loudly and cried woefully, âCorinne, how can you do this to me? Why are you pretending
to be the girl who saved Jeremy? Donât you think youâre going a little overboard this time?â
Corinne lightly pushed Jeremy away, wanting him to let her go. She then smiled at Anya and said, âIâm
not pretending at all, Miss Anya.â
Anya frowned and asked through gritted teeth, âThen do you have any proof that you were the girl who
saved Jeremy? You donât even have the bracelet! You canât possibly expect us to believe you based on
your words alone.â
