Chapter 881
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Chapter 881
Corinne took out the gold credit card from her pocket and passed it to Francine. âHere, you can use this
card. It doesnât require a pin code,â
Francine walked over and snatched the card from her. She threw her an angry glance before going
over to the payment counter.
After Francine left, Jason raised his eyebrow. âThatâs not Jeremyâs card, is it?â he asked interestedly.
âHow did you know?â asked Corinne.
Jason smiled. âBecause Jeremy only uses black cards.â
The bank only gave out black cards to their most exclusive clients; wealth was not the sole criterion for
eligibility. On the other hand, they would give out gold cards to any client who had a certain amount of
savings in their account.
Jason straightened himself in his seat. âYouâre using your money to buy a bag for Francine? You do
realize weâre at the Hermes store, right?â
âIâve promised her Iâd buy her one. I can use Jeremyâs card, but I donât have a habit of using other
peopleâs money to make someone like me.â
The look in Jasonâs eyes changed. âLooks like you have a clear boundary between your and Jeremyâs
money.â
Corinne frowned. âWhy does he insist on finding nonexistent problems in my relationship with Jeremy?â
Not wanting to talk to him anymore, Corinne simply kept her mouth shut and waited for Francine to
finish paying so they could have lunch.
Jason was not going to give up so easily. âCorinne, how well do you think you know Jeremy?â
Corinne tossed him an annoyed glance. âI canât say I know him very well, but Iâm sure Iâll get to know
him better as time passes.â
Jason smiled. âNo, you donât know him at all. You wouldnât have married him if you did.â
Corinne frowned unhappily. âMister Talbot, I highly advise you not to casually assume or speculate on
other peopleâs wishes. Else, it just makes you look like a fool.â
She then put down the coffee in her hand and went to find Francine. âUgh, heâs so annoying! Heâll just
keep spouting nonsense if I stay there.â
She did not understand why Jeremy would keep being friends with Jason, who might look like a
gentleman but was actually the devil. âI shouldnât have helped him get rid of Lola just now.â
Once Corinne found Francine, the two of them made their way out of the store with a bag in hand.
â However, Jason chased after them and asked politely, âWhere are you two heading? Iâll give you girls
a ride.â
The joy on Francineâs face from getting the bag she wanted immediately turned into a scowl when she
saw Jason. She quickly looked to Corinne for her response.
âNo, thank you. Weâre just going to have lunch nearby,â said Corinne coldly.
âMay I join you?â asked Jason, not giving up.Corinne looked at him in annoyance. âDidnât you have
lunch with Miss Lola? Overeating isnât good for your
health, you know.â
Jason shrugged. He knew he was not welcome. âOh well, Francine is here too, so thereâs no point in
pushing it.â
He would have shamelessly joined Corinne for lunch if she was alone.
Thus, he took out his phone and waved it at Corinne. âVery well, then. I wonât bother you girls anymore.
Iâll see you again, Corinne.â
