Chapter 929
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Annie reeled in shock at Corinneâs response. She frowned and asked, âWhy?â
She thought Corinne would be happy and give her blessing to her and Aaron.
âThe two of you arenât compatible. Youâll end up hurt if you marry him.â
âWhy does it sound like you have a bias against Aaron? He sees you as his family, but it seems like
you see him as a dirtbag.â
Corinne sighed. âItâs not called bias when I know him so well. I watched him grow up, so I know just
how many broken hearts he
left in his wake. Heâs important to me as a friend and as a family, but he wonât make a good husband.â
Annie was stunned. She blinked in disbelief. âHeâs been with many women?â
âYes. Loads.â
âCan you give me a number?â
Corinne frowned. âHeâs twenty-three years old this year. And from the age of eighteen, heâd change to
a new girlfriend every
week. You do the math.â
âThat is a lotâ¦â murmured Annie disappointedly.
Corinne patted Annieâs shoulder. âWell, at least you found out before things got serious. Just ignore him
from now on, and
remember not to believe anything he says. Theyâre all lies.â
Annie hung her head low sadly, thinking.
Enter titleâ¦
Just when Corinne thought she was about to give up, she looked up excitedly again. âIâm okay with his
past! Itâs not like I have a thing for a man who never had a relationship before. Iâm fine as long as he
stays loyal to me after weâre married.â Corinne did a facepalm. âDo you really think a player will stay
loyal to you? Donât be stupid!â
Annie still believed love could conquer all. She pouted and said, âEverything is possible you, so whatâs
to say Aaron wonât
change for me, too?â
Corinne frowned. âJeremy changed for me?â
Annie nodded. âHis heart used to be as cold as ice, but now, it has melted for you and you only! He
doesnât even look at other
women.â
Corinne thought back to Jeremyâs attitude toward her from the very start. âThatâs just his nature.
Besides, heâs always been
uninterested in other women even before he met me. You canât say he changed because of me.
âAaron, however, is different. Heâs always been a playboy since young. Nothing or no woman has ever
held his interest for more
than a week. That is his nature, and you should know just how hard it is to change someoneâs nature.â
Annie was not going to give up that easily. âItâs hardâ¦but not impossible, right? Corinne, I really like
him. Heâs so good to me,
and I donât want to give him up just yet. Not when we havenât even given our relationship a chance.â
Corinne stared at the stubborn Annie for a long while before saying with a sigh, âIâm only giving you
advice from my perspective,
but I canât do anything if you insist on going ahead with the marriage. However, I need to warn you,
Annie, that a man would do
anything to make you happy when heâs interested in you. When heâs not⦠Well, heâll treat you so cold,
youâll start to wonder
what did you ever see in him.
âTake me and your Uncle Jeremy for instance. Iâm fully prepared for the day heâd fall out of love with
me, so I suggest you donât
start a relationship if you canât handle the ending of it. Though, if you think you can, go ahead and try.
As for your marriage to
Aaron, you can accept his proposal if youâre okay with an open relationship. If not, youâll come to regret
ever marrying him.â
