Chapter 942
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Jeremy wiped his hair with a dry towel. He sat at the edge of the bed and saw Jasonâs message when
he glanced at her phone.
His expression turned gloomy. âDo you still contact Jason in private?â
Corinne looked at him. âNot at all. He sends me messages once in a while, but Iâve never once replied
to him.â
Jeremyâs tone sounded a little displeased. âWhen did he send you a request?â
Corinne never intended to hide the truth from him. âWhen you and I were done with the wedding
photos, he sent a friend request invitation to me after we left the Lunar Century Manor. I didnât accept it
at the time, but he kept sending requests several times every day. I felt a little bad ignoring him, so I
accepted it.â
Jeremy leaned closer to her and rubbed her head. âIgnore him whenever Iâm not around.â
Corinne blinked curiously. âThat was what I planned to do all along! But isnât he your good friend?
Shouldnât I show a little more courtesy to your friend for your sake?â
Jeremy stared into her eyes and said, âYou donât have to show courtesy to anyone for my sake. You
have the freedom to entertain or ignore anyone if you so wish.â
Corinne narrowed her eyes. âDoes that mean you donât like Jason very much? I heard that you and he
are childhood friends.â
âThere are different levels of friendship, even among childhood friends.â
âAre you closer to Zeke and Gerald, then?â
Jeremy frowned slightly. âWhy are you so concerned about all of them at this late hour? Letâs go to
bed!â
Jeremy lifted her blanket and got in. The fresh and fragrant smell of his shower gel filled the air.
Corinne blushed and felt a little awkward at that moment. âYouâve already bathed, but I havenât! Iâm
going to do so right now!â
The man wrapped her in his arms and pressed her tightly into his embrace. âDonât bother. Just let me
hug you!â
Corinne looked up at the manâs handsome chin before protesting with a frown. âI canât sleep without
taking a bath!â
Jeremy moved his chin closer and rubbed it on her head. âIâm just going to hold you in my arms as we
sleep. I promise I wonât do anything to you tonight. Go to bed!â
âMisterâ¦â
âBe good.â
Corinne felt helpless. She was hugged so tightly that she could not move even if she wanted to. She
planned to wait for him to fall asleep before getting out of bed to take a shower, but his scent was so
pleasant that she fell asleep before she knew it.
The next day, Corinne saw Jeremy sleeping soundly beside her. That did not happen very often as
Jeremy usually left for the company before she woke up.
As soon as she opened her eyes today, she saw Jeremy lying on his side. He was resting his head on
his hand while staring at her with a half-smile. She had no idea how long he had been looking at her
like that.
A little uneasy, she frowned. âWhy havenât you left for work? And why are you looking at me like that?â
Jeremy said, âI donât have much to do at the company today, so thereâs no point going there too early. I
can still make it in time after having breakfast with you.â
The previous dayâs incident had caused the Holdensâ stock market value to plummet, yet he seemed so
unperturbed by it. By right, he should be heading to the company as soon as he could to reassure his
shareholders.
Corinne frowned. âYou donât have to look at me like that, do you?â
Jeremy narrowed his eyes. âIs looking at my wife against the law now?â
