Chapter 215
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 215:
The resolve in her eyes only served to aggravate Noah further. âWake up and face reality, Sadie!â he retorted sharply.
âYou need to leave,â Alex said, his worry for Sadie apparent as he noted the reddening of her wrist from Noahâs grip.
He moved to shield Sadie from Noah, his voice solid and commanding. âNoah, this is way out of line.â
A scoff escaped Noah, cold and mocking. âMr. Howe, why are you so eager to meddle?â
Sadie gave a slight shake of her head, gently pulling at Alexâs sleeve. Engaging further with Noah seemed futile now.
Kylaâs lawsuit against her studio had been suspiciously timely. Sadie was now convinced it was all orchestrated by Noah to bend her to his will.
Turning to Alex, Sadie murmured, âWe should leave.â
With a subtle nod, Alex gave Noah a final stern look before leading Sadie away from the confrontation.
Noah remained stationary, his gaze following them as they left, yet he made no move to follow.
Once outside, Sadie breathed more freely, the weight of the confrontation lifting slightly.
âAlex, Iâm sorry for causing you more trouble,â Sadie murmured, her voice tinged with fatigue.
Alex studied her, concern evident in his gaze.
His hand lifted slightly, almost touching the faint bruise on her wrist where Noah had grabbed her, but he hesitated midway. He simply exhaled and shook his head. âEnough with the apologies. Do we really need to act so distant?â
Sadie looked away, avoiding his stare.

Alex caught the flicker of sorrow in her expression, and his worry grew. âLet me take you home. You donât seem well.â
Sadie shook her head, her tone unwavering. âNo, I need to check on Averi at the hospital. I hired a caregiver, but I still canât put my mind at ease.â
Kylaâs swift actions had kept Sadie on edge, and Noahâs involvement had only made the situation even more unbearable.
Alex hesitated briefly before saying in a quiet voice, âJust⦠be cautious, alright? And if you need anything, donât think twice about reaching out to me.â
He knew better than to argueâonce Sadie made a decision, nothing would sway her.
She offered a faint, weary smile. âI will.â
Turning on her heel, she stepped into the elevator.
As the doors slid shut, Noah emerged from Alexâs office, his imposing frame casting a cold shadow. His expression was unreadable, sharp, and distant.
Alex remained still, a hint of irony in his smirk.
âThe Floral Whisper Project⦠appreciate it, Mr. Wall,â he remarked, his tone edged with sarcasm.
Noahâs stare was frigid, cutting through the space between them like a knife. The tension in the air thickened.
âStay out of her life. Otherwise, Iâll ensure your family disappears from Jazmah.â
Without another word, he turned and walked away, never glancing back.
Alex watched him go, his smirk fading, replaced by a contemplative expression. Noahâs threats didnât intimidate himâhis only concern was Sadie. A cautious voice broke the silence. âSir, are you sure you want to stay involved with Miss Hudson? Our partnerâs withdrawal from the Floral Whisper project is a clear warning from Wall Group.â
The quiet of the office was punctuated only by the rhythmic ticking of the clock.
