Chapter 275
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 275:
âWell, look at the great designer, Sadie Hudson, wearing someone elseâs clothes,â Kyla said, scanning the room with a sarcastic tilt of her head. âThis estate isnât open to just anyone. Donât tell me you actually think cozying up to Lawrence Group will suddenly make you important.â
With her head lowered, Sadie chose not to engage with Kyla. All she wanted was to get out of there as quickly as possible.
Kylaâs smugness grew as she observed Sadieâs reticence. She stepped closer, her expression filled with scorn.
âNoahâs attention is focused solely on me. No matter my actions, he will always defend me. You, however, are insignificant to him.â
âYouâ¦â Sadie struggled to contain her rising fury. âStay out of my relationship with Noah.â
Kylaâs sneer deepened. âAnd who might you be? Youâre just a passing amusement for him. Once he grows bored, heâll discard you without a second glance.â
With her lips pressed tightly together, Sadieâs complexion turned ashen.
Deep down, she acknowledged the harsh truth in Kylaâs words.
After all, it had already been proven right three years ago.
Suddenly, a relaxed voice floated in from the doorway, sounding almost as if the speaker was just strolling by.
âWhy all the animosity, young lady?â
Both Sadie and Kyla whipped their heads around.
At the entrance stood a woman in gardening attire, smeared with dirt, playfully wielding a pair of pruning shears, her smile teasing. Loose strands of her long, dark hair framed her face, enhancing her sultry, captivating appearance.

Kylaâs face clouded over, and she retorted sharply, âShut up. What concern is it of yours? When did we start letting servants speak up?â A heaviness settled in Sadieâs chest; she didnât want to draw someone else into her dispute with Kyla.
âMiss Wade, if you are that remarkable, why havenât you become Mrs. Wall after three years yet?â
Sadie gazed at the âgardener.â
âIâm sorry for what happened, and thank you for your intervention.â The woman, mistaken for a gardener, wore a playful yet slightly puzzled expression as she glanced between Sadie and Kyla.
A mix of anger and humiliation colored Kylaâs cheeks.
The audacity of Sadie!
âTypical. Youâre both lowly people. Sadie, youâre destined to remain among those servants!â
Now, Kylaâs disdain was fully evident.
Before Sadie could formulate a reply, the butler emerged at the entrance.
âMs. Shaw, Mr. Wall is here.â
Ms. Shaw?
Both Sadie and Kyla turned to stone, their eyes fixed on the woman standing in the doorway.
This woman, disheveled with mud, was actually Eva, the estateâs owner?
Color drained from Kylaâs face; she had not anticipated insulting Eva directly.
