Chapter 310
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 310:
Noah didnât reject the proposals. His direction to consult the butler effectively meant his consent was given.
Rising to his feet, Noah straightened his suit jacket.
âI must attend to some matters. Enjoy your day.â
With those words, he exited the estate, never once looking back.
As Sadie watched his silhouette vanish through the doorway, her feelings were a complex whirl of emotions.
She didnât know what Noah was thinking, nor could she predict what the future held for them.
Her immediate priority, however, was to look after Averi.
Meanwhile, Kyla made her way furiously to the branch office and violently shut her office door, the sound echoing loudly.
Her chest heaved with anger.
âWhy? Why does Sadie get to live at Myrtlewood Estate?â She seethed in silence, her voice dripping with fury. âI am the rightful lady of Myrtlewood Estate.â
As she paced her office, Kylaâs hands were clenched so tightly that her nails threatened to pierce her skin.
At that moment, there was a hesitant knock on the door from the design department manager.
âCome in.â Kyla forced herself to suppress her fury, trying to make her voice sound calm.
The manager walked in cautiously, holding a pile of documents, and moved toward her hesitantly.

âMiss Wade, we have Ms. Shawâs jewelry design drafts ready. Additionally, the invitation for the Starlight Gala has arrived.â
Receiving the documents, Kyla skimmed them quickly, her expression changing as an idea began to form.
âThe Starlight Galaâ¦â she muttered to herself as a plan started taking shape in her mind.
âSend out the order. Accelerate the production of Ms. Shawâs jewelry. Ensure itâs ready before the Starlight Gala,â Kyla instructed unequivocally, leaving no space for debate.
The managerâs face tensed, revealing his uncertainty. âMiss Wade, achieving that might be impossible. We initially planned for delivery a month from now, and the gala is just three days awayâ¦â
âI donât care!â Kylaâs hand slammed down on her desk, producing a resounding snap that silenced him instantly. âI expect results, not excuses. Fail to meet the deadline, and youâre all fired, starting with you!â
The design department manager shuddered, beads of sweat forming on his brow.
Fully aware of Kylaâs fierce disposition, he dared not contest her demands. With a hesitant nod, he said, âY-Yes, Miss Wade. Iâll organize it immediately.â He exited the office, each step laden with the weight of impending consequences.
Kyla watched him go, a chilling smirk tugging at the corners of her lips.
âNow, Sadie, letâs see how you manage against me.â
Despite Sadie working with the Shaw Group through Evaâs secret assignment on another project involving the Starlight Gala, Kyla was intolerant of any competition.
