Chapter 331
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 331:
Kyla offered a weak smile. âThank you.â
Noah stood by, silent and contemplative.
As he turned to leave, Kyla swiftly caught the hem of his shirt with her slender fingers.
Kyla was determined not to let this chance escape her.
âNoah,â she murmured, her voice carrying a plea, weak yet clear. âCould you stay with me for a while? I feel a bit scared.â
Noah paused, his eyes flickering with uncertainty as he faced her.
âJust for a bit,â Kyla said, sensing his reluctance.
With a deep sigh, Noah acquiesced.
He moved to the chair next to her bed and sat down, his eyes resting on her.
âAlright,â he said.
A hush fell over the room.
Kyla remained silent on the bed, her eyes staring blankly at the ceiling. After a lengthy silence, she said, âNoah, do you remember our times together before?â
Noah stayed quiet, absorbing her words.
âBack then, we were so young.â She reminisced, pausing to gather her thoughts. âI felt as though I was on top of the world.â A crease formed on Noahâs forehead.
âThen we drifted apartâ¦â Kylaâs voice wavered with emotion. âI moved abroad, and the space between us widened.â
âKyla,â Noah interjected, his tone resolute. âWe need to leave the past behind.â
âI canât seem to forget,â Kyla confessed, turning to face him, her eyes brimming with tears as she met his gaze.

âIâve never stopped loving you, Noahâ¦â Kylaâs voice quivered, raw and vulnerable. âEvery day, I wonder if youâll come back to me⦠if we could have another chance.â
Noah exhaled, his gaze lingering on her for a momentâimpassive, detached.
âCould you find it in your heart to⦠give me one more chance?â Kylaâs eyes shimmered with unshed tears as she looked at him, searching for even the smallest flicker of warmth. âPlease, Noah,â she whispered. âI swear Iâll be better this time. Iâll take care of you, love you the way you deserve. I willââ
âKyla.â Noahâs voice cut through her desperate pleas like a bladeâsteady, final. âThere is no going back.â
A sharp breath hitched in Kylaâs throat before the tears came, spilling down her cheeks. She covered her face with trembling hands, sobs breaking through the last of her composure.
âGet some rest.â
With that, Noah turned and strode out of the ward without looking back. Kylaâs tears seeped into the pillow as she bit down on her trembling lower lip, trying in vain to suppress the sobs wracking her body.
âWhy⦠whyâ¦â The words fell from her lips in a broken whisper, barely audible over the sound of her own shuddering breath.
It wasnât supposed to be like this.
Suddenly, she gripped the blanket tightly, nails digging so deeply into the soft fabric that her knuckles turned white.
âSadie! This is all because of you!â
