Chapter 349
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 349:
Three days later, Sadie and Alex headed to the Cloud Summit Club. The club exuded grandeur, its opulence glowing.
âAre you nervous?â Alex whispered, picking up on the tightness in Sadieâs features.
âA bit,â Sadie replied, inhaling deeply to soothe her nerves. âThe Starlight Stone is incredibly important to me.â
âDonât worry, Iâm here to help,â Alex assured her with a supportive glance.
Arm in arm with Alex, Sadie entered the lavishly decorated auction hall. Upon their entrance, her eyes roamed the room and landed on a face she recognized. It was Noah. He stood out among the attendees, clad in a sleek, impeccably fitted black suit, exuding an air of dignity and elegance.
Beside him was Kyla, wearing a flowing white evening gown. She stood close to Noah, her smile soft and tender.
Their gazes locked, and the atmosphere around them seemed to turn cold. Noahâs face quickly soured, his look becoming sharp and cutting.
He approached Sadie with confident, long strides, Kyla keeping pace beside him. âWhat brings you here, Sadie?â Noah inquired.
A heavy feeling settled in Sadieâs heart, and she instinctively tightened her hold on Alexâs arm. âIâm here to participate in the auction.â
âAnd who are you accompanying?â Noahâs eyes flicked to Sadieâs hand, which was on Alexâs arm, his expression growing colder.
âAlex, as you can see,â Sadie replied confidently.
Noahâs features turned even more severe. He took a firm hold of her wrist, his voice laden with authority. âYou need to come with me.â

âI will not,â Sadie firmly said, pulling her wrist away from his grip.
âYouâ¦â Noah was incensed by her defiance. âYou twoâ¦â
âNoah, calm down, please,â Kyla said in a soothing tone, her words appearing caring but subtly stoking the tensions. âSadie is probably just here to experience a bit of luxury.â She paused, then seemingly casually added, âAlex has always treated Sadie well, after all.â
âKyla Wade!â Sadie exploded, her rage ignited. âStop trying to stir up trouble here!â
âYouâve got it wrong, Sadie,â Kyla replied, putting on a look of distress, her eyes beginning to tear up. âI just donât like seeing you guys argue.â
âThatâs enough!â Noah interjected, fixing his intense gaze on Sadie. âOnce more, come with me.â
âI will not!â Sadie responded boldly, refusing to break eye contact. âWhy should I follow your orders?â
âYouâ¦â Noah tensed up, his veins throbbing visibly.
âNoah,â Kyla said gently, tugging at his sleeve. âPerhaps Sadie simply doesnât wish to leave Alexâs side. Theyâ¦â She paused purposefully, shooting a pointed look at Sadie.
Feeling a rush of anger, Sadie struggled to maintain her composure.
âEnough, Kyla!â she said sternly, her teeth clenched.
Alex, no longer able to remain silent, stepped in front of Sadie and confronted Noah. âMr. Wall, Sadie can make her own decisions. You should respect that.â
Noah glared at him coldly.
