Chapter 370
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 370:
Kylaâs fury was evident as she gestured towards the photo fragments scattered on the floor.
âIs this what you call a âmasterpieceâ? Itâs being ridiculed everywhere! How could you show your face here?â
Holding his cheek, the designer broke down, tears flooding his face.
âMiss Wadeâ¦â
âEnough! You are fired! Leave my company at once!â Kyla commanded coldly, dismissing him without a trace of sympathy.
Reeling from the dismissal, the designer stumbled and hurried out of the room.
Kylaâs anger only grew.
âEva! This isnât over! You will pay for this!â
The design department director remained silent, cautiously observing.
Kyla halted suddenly, as if struck by a sudden thought.
âViviâ¦â she whispered, her gaze sharpening. âShe and Sadie arenât exactly friends, either.â
A scheme began to crystallize in her mind.
She instructed, âGet in touch with Vivi. Tell her Iâd like to meet her for lunch tomorrow to talk.â
The director nodded earnestly and went off to arrange the meeting.
Kyla gazed out at the evening sky, her lips twisting into a sinister smile.
âSadie, just you wait. The real game is about to begin.â
Meanwhile, Vivi was engrossed in her work at her studio.
The recent Starlight Gala had left her frustrated. Evaâs unexpected defense of Sadie at the event had made Vivi feel humiliated.

âDamn Eva! Damn Sadie!â she exclaimed, crumpling a design draft and throwing it into the bin.
Just then, her assistant entered the room.
âMiss Quinn, Miss Wade has extended an invitation for lunch.â
Vivi paused, surprised, then smirked.
âKyla wants to see me? Interesting indeed.â
After a momentâs consideration, Vivi decided to accept the offer. She instructed, âPlease tell her Iâll accept her invitation.â The assistant acknowledged with a nod and departed.
Vivi looked out the window, her expression a mix of contemplation and intrigue as she whispered, âSadie, Kyla⦠This will certainly be something to see.â
The following day, in the secluded elegance of a restaurantâs private room, Kyla and Vivi faced each other.
âMiss Quinn, so much has been said about you,â Kyla commented, toasting with a fake smile.
âYouâre very generous with your words, Miss Wade,â Vivi responded, her glass echoing Kylaâs, her eyes alight with keen interest.
Their glasses met with a soft chime before they each indulged in a sip of the rich red wine.
âMiss Quinn, I presume youâre clear on why weâve come together today,â Kyla said with clear intent.
âPlease, enlighten me,â Vivi answered, her tone steady and composed.
âSadie, as it turns out, poses a problem for both of us,â Kyla replied, her voice devoid of warmth.
Setting her glass aside, Vivi absently adjusted her ring, her eyes seeming to search the distance for answers. She gave a theatrical sigh, affecting a tone of reluctant acceptance.
