Chapter 383
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 383:
Yet, she made no move to leave, stepping further into the room, her eyes boldly scanning Noah.
âIt was such a pleasure to meet you at the Starlight Gala. I didnât expect our paths to cross again,â she cooed, her voice dripping with saccharine sweetness.
Noah gave her a frosty look, his voice icy. âI donât recall that.â He continued dressing, disregarding Viviâs flirty demeanor.
Her smile stiffened as she felt a surge of resentment. She hadnât anticipated such indifference, him completely ignoring her presence.
âMr. Wall, your memory seems quite selective.â Vivi pressed on, masking her irritation. âIâm Vivi from the Quinn family, and the chief designer of Majestic Ego.â
Noah finished buttoning his shirt and met her gaze, his patience wearing thin. âIs there something you want?â
âNo⦠nothing really.â Vivi felt a pang of guilt under Noahâs scrutinizing gaze but refused to back down. âI just wanted to say hello. Itâs fate that we meet here.â
âI donât believe in fate,â Noah replied coldly, turning and walking towards the bathroom to freshen up.
Viviâs face paled, then flushed with embarrassment.
Just then, the lounge door swung open again.
âNoah, why are you taking so long to changeââ Evaâs voice halted abruptly when she saw Vivi in the room.
Behind Eva, Sadie entered, her heart dropping at the scene.
Vivi, caught off guard by their presence, quickly masked her panic.
âMs. Shaw, Sadie, hello,â Vivi exclaimed, feigning surprise.
Eva gave Vivi a knowing smile, her voice dripping with insinuation. âHello, Miss Quinn, what a coincidence.â

âI must have entered the wrong room,â Vivi stammered, her face stiffening. She knew Eva was a formidable presence and wanted to sidestep any conflict.
âOh? Really?â Eva raised an eyebrow. âThis lounge is reserved for Noah. How could you have made such a mistake?â
Caught off guard, Vivi struggled to find an excuse.
Noah stepped out of the bathroom, immediately sensing the tension in the room, his frown deepening.
Sadie felt a suffocating pressure in her chest, standing motionless.
She clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms, yet she felt no pain.
Vivi noticed Sadieâs distress and allowed a slight smirk to cross her face.
She cast a flirtatious look at Noah, her voice soft. âMr. Wall, Iâll be leaving now.â With that, she turned and sashayed out of the lounge, her high heels clicking against the floor.
Eva glanced at Sadie and Noah, her eyes sparkling with playful amusement. âOh dear, young people are always so impulsive. Iâm just an old-timer, so Iâll leave you to it.â
With a graceful turn, she gently closed the door behind her, leaving Sadie and Noah alone.
The lounge was now thick with an awkward and tense atmosphere, so stifling it was hard to breathe.
Sadie bit her lip, striving to maintain her composure.
She reminded herself that she and Noah were on the brink of divorce.
None of this should matter anymore. Taking a deep breath, she turned to leave. But in the next instant, a strong hand clasped her wrist tightly and pulled her back. Her back hit the door with a thud.
âNoah, what are you doing?â Sadie exclaimed, struggling to free herself.
Noah remained silent, instead leaning in to capture her lips in a forceful kiss. It was a dominant and intense kiss, charged with pent-up anger and unspoken feelings.
