Chapter 532
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 532:
This wasnât the time for rash actions; he needed the truth.
Picking up his phone, he dialed Noahâs number.
The phone rang unanswered.
A foreboding feeling settled in Alexâs heart.
He set the phone down, resolved to confront Noah in person to seek justice for his mother and address their failed collaboration.
Alex strode to the villaâs entrance, reaching for the car door when a familiar voice stopped him.
âWhere are you going, Alex?â
He froze and turned around.
Terrance stood there, stern, with Aliza beside him, smiling sweetly.
âDadâ¦â Alexâs voice was hoarse, mixed feelings in his eyes.
âI already know about your motherâs abduction,â Terrance said gravely.
âDad, you know?â Surprise flickered in Alexâs eyes; he hadnât expected his father to be informed so swiftly.
âYes, I do.â Terrance nodded, his expression grim. âIâve sent people to investigate. Donât worry.â
âDad, Iâ¦â Alex began, but Terrance cut him off.
âWhat are you planning to do?â Terrance asked Alex with a serious tone.
âIâm going to confront Noah about my momâs abduction and discuss our familyâs collaboration with him,â Alex responded without hesitation.
âThatâs nonsense!â Terrance roared. âYou think heâll just admit to it? Do you really think heâll have a civil conversation with you? Wall Group has already made their move, which means theyâve broken ties with us. Why should we hold back?â
âDad, are you sayingâ¦â Alex began, sensing more behind his fatherâs words.

âIâve decided,â Terrance said coldly, âHowe Group will go to war with Wall Group. They will pay for their actions.â
âWe canât do this, Dad. Weâ¦â Alex protested.
âEnough!â Terrance cut him off. âMy decision is final.â
âDad, did Aliza say something to you? Sheâ¦â Alex asked, turning to Aliza with suspicion.
He believed she was the one causing trouble and stirring chaos. Aliza, upon hearing Alexâs words, adopted an innocent expression, gently shaking her head. She softly said, âAlex, what are you talking about? I havenât done anything. How could I possibly speak ill of you to your father? Why donât you trust me?â
As she spoke, her eyes slightly reddened, giving her a pitiful look.
Terrance, observing Alizaâs demeanor, felt a surge of sympathy.
He walked over to her, gently patting her shoulder to comfort her. âAliza, donât mind him. Heâs been misled by that woman and canât distinguish right from wrong.â
âDad, youâ¦â Alex grew even more upset as his father sided with Aliza.
âGuards!â Terrance called, and bodyguards quickly appeared.
They stood attentively before him, ready for his instructions.
âTake Alex to his room and make sure he stays there. Heâs not to leave without my permission,â Terrance said coldly.
âYou canât do this, Dad!â Alex shouted, struggling against the guards.
âTake his phone too,â Terrance added.
The bodyguards quickly stepped forward, taking Alexâs phone from his hand.
âLet me go, Dad! I need to find my mother and confront Noah!â Alex shouted, struggling in vain as he was forcibly taken back to his room. The door closed with a heavy thud, leaving Alex slumped on the floor, defeated.
