Chapter 564
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 564:
Back in her room, she noted the late hour.
Noah had yet to come home.
Worry crept in as she pondered if he was delayed by work.
She picked up her phone to call him but hesitated and set it back down.
Instead, she sat on the bed in silence, waiting.
Time slipped by until she heard footsteps outside.
Her heart quickenedâNoah was home.
Downstairs, Noah entered, bringing with him a faint smell of alcohol and visible weariness.
He paused upon seeing the dishes laid out.
Sitting at the dining table, he began to eat.
âNot bad. After all, you do have a heart,â he remarked, his smile teasing.
The next morning, Sadie awoke early.
After freshening up, she donned a smart business suit and applied light makeup, her appearance now refreshed and energetic. She proceeded to Averiâs room and gently pushed the door open. Averi was sound asleep, his small form curled under the blanket like a little angel.
A gentle smile crossed Sadieâs face as she approached the bed and softly stroked her sonâs hair.
âRise and shine, my love.â
Averi rubbed his eyes and opened them sleepily. When he saw Sadie, his face lit up with a sweet smile.
âGood morning, Mommy!â
âGood morning. Come on, get up! Mommy will take you to breakfast.â She lifted him from the bed, helped him get dressed, and they went downstairs.

Breck had prepared breakfast.
âGood morning, Mrs. Wall, Averi. Breakfast is ready,â he said with respect.
âThank you, Breck.â Sadie nodded and settled at the table with Averi on her lap.
She served him a bowl of fruit cereal along with some of his favorite dishes.
âSweetheart, eat slowly. Donât choke,â she cautioned.
âOkay!â Averi responded, beginning to eat his breakfast earnestly.
Watching her sonâs delightful manners warmed Sadieâs heart. During breakfast, she engaged him in conversation about his kindergarten.
Averi excitedly recounted all the fun and interesting events from school.
Sadie listened attentively, responding occasionally; their exchange was warm and affectionate.
After breakfast, she dropped Averi off at kindergarten.
She watched him enter the gates, then turned to leave, heading to her studio.
Driving down the road, Sadie felt conflicted.
Samuelâs revelations about Noah the previous day had unsettled her emotions.
Uncertain about how to face Noah or what lay ahead, Sadie resolved to focus on her work for the time being.
Her responsibilities awaited her.
Upon arriving, Sadie noted the studioâs transformation after urgent renovations.
It was now spacious, bright, and stylishly modern.
