Chapter 568
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 568:
Sadie turned to see a tall figure approaching.
It was Amy.
She was dressed in a silver gown, her long hair flowing down her shoulders, her makeup impeccable, radiating an aura of authority.
âAmy?â Sadie expressed her surprise. âWhat brings you here?â
âWhy canât I be here?â Amy reached Sadie, examining her from head to toe. âWow! Even after a few months, you havenât changed at all, still as stunning as ever,â she remarked, lightly pinching Sadieâs cheek. âHave you lost weight? Are you on a diet?â
Sadie was amused by the gesture, and it significantly lifted the gloom in her heart.
âWhy did you suddenly come to Helva?â Sadie inquired.
âFor you, of course.â Amy blinked playfully. âI heard you made it to the next round of the International Jewelry Design Competition, so I had to come back to cheer you on.â
She paused, then added, âPlus, Iâve been invited to be a judge for the competition.â
âReally?â Sadieâs eyes sparkled with delight. âThatâs wonderful!â
âOf course.â Amy lifted her chin with pride. âWith me here, youâll always have someone in your corner.â
Her gaze swept over the others present, carrying a subtle warning. Those who had intended to approach Sadie sensed her aura and quickly withdrew.
âSadie, are you alright?â Amyâs tone softened as she turned her attention back to Sadie. âYou seemed a bit pale earlier.â
âIâm alright, Amy. Just feeling a little drained,â Sadie responded casually.
âIf youâre exhausted, you should rest,â Amy advised, gently taking Sadieâs hand and guiding her toward a quieter spot.

âBy the way, Vivi didnât give you any trouble, did she?â Amy suddenly inquired.
Sadie shook her head. âNo, she didnât.â
She chose not to mention her earlier dispute with Vivi, not wanting to worry Amy.
âThatâs a relief.â Amy exhaled, reassured.
âThanks for caring,â Sadie said with a nod.
âSadie, honestly, you shouldnât let Vivi get to you,â Amy stated firmly, meeting her gaze.
âI know,â Sadie replied with a small smile. âI wonât let her affect me.â She had no intention of letting anyone bring her down.
âIf youâre interested, the director position at Majestic Egoâs Helva branch is always open to you,â Amy said sincerely. âYouâre the most talented designer Iâve ever met and the perfect fit for the role.â
Sadie was caught off guard; she hadnât expected Amy to bring this up.
âAmy, I appreciate your kind words. It means a lot,â Sadie replied with a faint smile, gratitude reflecting in her eyes. âBut I want to succeed on my own.â
She paused for a moment, then continued firmly, âI need to prove myself without relying on Majestic Egoâs platform. I believe I can still reach great heights on my own terms.â
Sadie had never been one to depend on others. She always preferred forging her own path rather than leaning on others.
Amy studied Sadieâs resolute expression and sighed in resignation.
She knew convincing Sadie wouldnât be easy.
