Chapter 593
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 593:
âA stock transfer agreement,â Nigel explained calmly. âItâs your grandfatherâs share. Itâs time it went back to its rightful owner.â
As Sadie opened the file, her eyes were immediately drawn to the words âEffective Immediatelyâ and the bright red seal. Her head snapped up, eyes shimmering with tears.
âNigelâ¦â she murmured, her voice thick with emotion.
âThis is your due,â Nigel said, patting her hand gently. âIâve never forgotten your grandfatherâs contributions to the Wall Group.â Nigel paused, as if remembering something else. âAlso, Sadie, my goddaughter Zoe is getting married soon. Iâd like you to design the jewelry. The wedding planner will be here shortly to discuss details.â
Sadie, taken aback, blinked. She had never met this goddaughter before.
As she mulled over this, the door opened again.
A server ushered in a woman.
âAmy?â Sadie gasped, astonished.
Amy paused, equally surprised. But then, it all made sense to her.
Nigel, observing the interaction, smiled broadly.
Amy looked at Sadie, hesitant to speak.
A sharp pang of guilt struck Sadie. Over the three years they had known each other, she had never opened up about her personal life to Amy.
âAmy, Iâm sorry Iâve kept this a secret all this time,â Sadie said, her voice heavy with regret.
Amy sighed, her face showing her inner conflict.
âTo be honest, I had my suspicions before coming here. Nigel mentioned that his granddaughter-in-law was a remarkably talented designer. Now it all makes sense that itâs you.â
Your storytelling destination is gαâηÏνððsâ¤com
Sadie bit her lip, her guilt intensifying. It wasnât just her secret troubling herâshe was also concerned that Amy might feel she had leveraged her connections unfairly. The jewelry design competition she had participated in was still fresh in her mind.
Amy sensed Sadieâs unease and reassuringly patted her hand. âThereâs no need to worry. Your talent stands on its own. Iâve seen your work at the international competition. It was outstanding.â
Encouraged by Amyâs words, Sadie looked up, thankful.
âThank you, Amy.â
Amy offered a warm smile. âLetâs not dwell on the past. One of my main reasons for coming to Jazmah was to oversee the jewelry design for Zoeâs wedding. Nigel recommended you, and I completely agree with his choice.â
Effectively, Amy would have chosen Sadie regardless of Nigelâs input. Sadie was slightly confused.
âYes, Zoe Travisâthe internationally acclaimed actress. Her wedding will be a high-profile event, and there are enormous expectations for the jewelry. Nigel considers this project very important.â
Sadie nodded, her interest in the renowned Zoe piqued.
Amy pulled a folder from her bag and handed it to Sadie.
âThis has all the details for Zoeâs wedding. Review it thoroughly and feel free to share your ideas with me.â
Taking the folder, Sadie began to examine its contents closely.
