Chapter 597
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 597:
Soon, everything was packed.
Samuel motioned toward the exit. âPlease, Miss Wade.â
Kyla resisted.
In desperation, she blurted out, âI need to use the bathroom.â
It was an urgent call of nature.
Samuel paused but ultimately consented. âVery well, but be quick.â
Kyla lowered her head, concealing the scheming look in her eyes. She walked slowly to the bathroom and locked the door behind her.
Time passed, and Kyla didnât come out.
Feeling uneasy, Samuel knocked on the door. âMiss Wade?â
Silence.
Something was amiss.
He forced the door open to find the window wide open.
Kyla had fled.
âDamn it!â Samuel cursed softly.
âStart a search! Lock down the area and find her!â By then, Kyla had already left the neighborhood. She flagged down a taxi and instructed the driver to head to the Quinn familyâs villa. It was her only option now; she would figure out the next steps once there.
Upon arriving at the Quinn familyâs villa, Kyla paid the driver and nearly twisted her ankle as she got out of the car. She steadied herself using the car door and looked up to see Vivi sneaking around, clearly involved in something secretive.
âVivi? What are you up to?â Kyla inquired.
Caught off guard, Vivi quickly hid her hands and averted her gaze. âWhy are you here?â

Kylaâs suspicion intensified, but she held it back. She needed Viviâs assistance.
âI need a place to stay for a bit.â
Vivi snorted, as if amused. âArenât you staying at Noahâs place? What, did he kick you out?â
She scanned Kyla from head to toe, her gaze dripping with derision.
âAnd looking so disheveled,â she added.
Kylaâs face flushed with anger.
âNoah is just temporarily enchanted by that temptress Sadie! Heâll realize his mistake and take me back!â
Vivi felt a twinge of satisfaction seeing Kyla flustered, but she remained silent. She then motioned toward the door.
âCome in.â
Kyla caught the sneer in Viviâs eyes but swallowed her pride. Realizing now was not the time to confront Vivi, she clenched her teeth and entered the villa.
Vivi wasnât faring much better herself.
As they stepped into the living room, they overheard Mosesâs obsequious tone.
âDonât worry, Anson, Iâll ensure sheâs ready for you.â It was clear who âsheâ was.
Vivi pressed her lips together, choosing to remain silent.
Meanwhile, Anson, lounging across the room, noticed Viviâs entrance.
