Chapter 601
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 601:
Noahâs expression darkened, his eyes narrowing as he regarded the officer.
âWhat proof do you have?â
âThe surveillance video captured Miss Hudson leaving the private room last,â the officer stated, carefully measuring his words. âWe need Miss Hudson to come with us for further questioning.â
Not far off, Sadie overheard their conversation.
She looked at Amy, struggling to breathe, and clenched her fists.
In that moment, she made the decision.
âIâm willing to cooperate with the investigation,â Sadie declared. âAmy has been both a mentor and a friend for three years. I need to know who did this to her.â
She began to walk away, then paused, turning back to Noah.
âDonât worry, Iâll be okay. Please look after Averi for me.â
Noah, seeing the determination in her eyes, simply nodded.
âIâll arrange for a lawyer to follow up.â
Sadie departed with one of the officers.
Another officer stepped forward to reassure Noah, âRest assured, Mr. Wall, we will take good care of Miss Hudson.â
Left alone outside the ICU, Noah called out, âSamuel!â
Samuel approached immediately.
âMr. Wall,â
âFind out what happened,â Noah commanded.
âUnderstood,â Samuel responded, quickly heading down the corridor.

Sadie hadnât been in the interrogation room for long when a young female officer entered with a tray.
âMrs. Wall, your husband sent this for you.â She placed the tray on the table.
Stunned, Sadie looked at the steaming dishes before herâshrimp puff pastries, crab cake sliders, and mango parfaitâall her usual favorites.
âDid he say anything?â Sadie asked, her voice hoarse.
The officer smiled.
âHe told you to eat well and not to worry. He said heâll handle everything.â
âEverything.â
She paused, a hint of envy in her voice.
âYour husband really cares about you.â
A rush of mixed emotions swept through Sadie.
Noah? He had sent her a late-night snack.
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Sadie, Noah was in the police stationâs lounge.
âMr. Wall, weâve found something,â Samuel announced, breaking the silence.
âIt was a waitress from Sawnard Estate who reported the incident. Mrs. Wall was there because Mr. Nigel Wall had arranged it, and Amy was invited by him too. But he left early.â
Noahâs expression darkened.
âWhat about the surveillance footage?â
âThe manager at Sawnard Estate reported that the cameras are broken and currently being repaired. As for the waitressâs bank accounts, nothing unusual was noted, and there were no large transactions. The waitress is in the car now.â
