Chapter 604
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 604:
Stunned by the slap, Kyla momentarily lost her bearings. Regaining her senses, she shoved Vivi away, screaming in protest, âThatâs absurd! Why would I seduce him? Heâs the one who should be ashamed!â
âEnough! Both of you, shut up!â Moses interjected, his voice booming as his temples throbbed visibly.
He shifted his piercing gaze from Vivi to Tiana, who stood nearby.
âWhatâs going on with her?â he demanded sternly.
Vivi faltered, her eyes flickering as she stammered, âShe⦠she just came to talk to me about something.â
But Moses, having raised Vivi, saw through the excuse. His suspicion deepened the more she tried to deflect.
âMr. Quinn.â
A deep voice suddenly cut through the tension. Anson, buttoning his shirt, descended the stairs with casual indifference.
âVivi hurt Amy and pinned the blame on Sadie,â he stated calmly, as if discussing a trivial matter.
Viviâs face drained of color at his words.
She stared at Anson in horror, her voice quivering.
âHow do you know?â
Anson didnât respond directly, merely offering a nonchalant glance her way.
Tiana moved to Ansonâs side, her head lowered, avoiding eye contact with Vivi.
Struck by the revelation, Vivi felt as if lightning had hit her.
Tiana wasnât there for helpâshe was working for Anson. It was all a setup.

Moses, in a sudden fury, backhanded Vivi, sending her sprawling on the floor.
âDidnât I tell you to talk to Amy and secure the deal with Zoe? How could you hurt Amy?â he roared, his eyes bloodshot with anger.
Vivi clutched her face, tears streaming down her cheeks.
âAmy was biased. She never intended to help me. She deserved it!â
At this point, further excuses were pointless.
Moses suppressed his anger and turned to Anson, mustering a sycophantic smile.
âAnson, Vivi was just not thinking clearly. Please, be magnanimous and donât hold it against her. We need your support and the marriage alliance.â
Anson regarded Vivi with a faint smile.
âMy grandfather is concerned about Viviâs reputation, but I am indifferent. However, the Quinn family is now at odds with the Wall family. You should be aware of Noahâs capabilities. He will find out what Vivi did.â
Anson paused, seeming to consider the Quinn familyâs situation.
âIf the Quinn family wants a chance at survival, thereâs only one wayâto ally with my family against the Wall family.â
Moses furrowed his brows.
Anson was correct. Moses had seen Noahâs cruelty firsthand.
But Anson was just the heir, not the head of the Olson family. Could he really make such decisions?
Moreover, even the Howe and Perry families, when allied, hadnât managed any advantage over Noah.
The Perry family had even relocated abroad entirely.
