Chapter 675
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 675:
Noahâs eyes narrowed slightly as he scrutinized the woman before him. She was assertive and unwavering, a stark contrast to the timid Sadie he had learned about before returning to the country.
What was more, he felt an odd familiarity toward her, and it annoyed him for some reason.
After a long pause, he finally said, âI look forward to our collaboration.â
Sadie allowed herself to relax then. She had secured the partnership with the Burgess Group.
Her lips curled into a faint smile.
âSo do I, Mr. Noel.â
She raised her coffee cup to seal the deal, and Noah picked up his to clink with hers.
âDo you have any other matters to discuss, Ms. Hudson?â he asked casually after taking a sip.
âWell, I heard from the grapevine that Coyle has also reached out to you,â Sadie leaned her elbows on the table and perched her chin on her intertwined fingers. âWhat are your thoughts?â
Noah raised an eyebrow.

âWhat would you like me to do, Ms. Hudson?â he asked point-blank.
Sadie met his gaze steadily.
âYou are aware of Coyleâs intentions, Mr. Noel. I only hope that our collaboration proceeds smoothly and conflict-free.â
Noah chuckled lightly, his gaze laden with meaning.
âYou want me to reject him?â
âDo you have a reason not to?â Sadie asked with a nonchalant shrug of her shoulders. âYou chose us for what we can offer you, not for the sake of insignificant players in the field.â
She caught Noahâs interest now. This woman was more intriguing than he had anticipated.
âYou are quite confident, Ms. Hudson.â
âI am not speaking out of personal confidence, I am simply conveying the power of the Wall Group.â
Noahâs eyes flickered with amusement. He did enjoy interacting with intelligent people.
âAll right,â he said, not bothering to hide the smile in his voice. âAs you wish.â
Sadie beamed. âThank you, Mr. Noel.â
With everything out of the way, the atmosphere between them lightened significantly.
Sadie pushed her cup away and made to leave. âIâll see you this Friday, Mr. Noel.â
âMs. Hudson,â Noah suddenly called out before she could take more than two steps away.
Sadie paused and looked back, her brows furrowed with a silent question.
âHow about joining me for breakfast?â Noah asked, his tone casual.
Sadie hesitated and glanced at her watch. It was actually too late for breakfast.
But given the conversation they had just had, it seemed rather in bad taste to refuse his invitation.
âWhy not?â Sadie sat back down and waved for the waiter, then ordered a few of her favorite brunch items.
Just then, a burst of hearty laughter came from the entrance.
âPatrick! So sorry to keep you waiting!â A man waved enthusiastically at Noah as he barreled into the establishment.
