Chapter 686
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 686:
Sadie ignored his gesture entirely.
Once inside her office, she turned to Samuel and instructed, âKeep tabs on Sutton. Monitor him closely.â
A moment later, she added, âAlso, arrange a meeting with Patrick.â Samuel, as always, asked no questions.
âUnderstood. Iâll handle it right away.â
Meanwhile, Blaine arrived at his new workspace on the 17th floor. The polished nameplate gleamed, and upon opening the door, he was greeted by an airy office with minimalist, tasteful decor.
Towering glass windows showcased a sweeping view of Jazmahâs skyline.
Clearly impressed, Blaine gave a low whistle.
âThis is miles better than my setup overseas.â
Just then, a soft knock sounded.
âCome in,â he called, reclining casually in the chair.
Tina stepped inside, offering a professional smile.

âGood afternoon, Mr. Castro. Iâm Tina, your new assistant.â
Her voice was smooth and measured, but as her eyes met Blaineâs, she froze.
Sadie never revealed that the general manager was Blaineâshe had merely mentioned assigning her as the assistant to the general manager!
Equally surprised, Blaine grinned broadly.
His mood brightened as he stood from his seat and strode over to her.
âWell, well,â he said, eyes twinkling. âFancy meeting you here, gorgeous.â
Blaine flashed a wide grin, mischief dancing in his voice.
Tina, flustered beneath his unwavering gaze, instinctively stepped backward to put some space between them.
âHello, Mr. Castro,â she mumbled, barely audible.
Blaine found her awkwardness utterly captivating.
Leaning forward with deliberate ease, he murmured teasingly, âDid anyone ever tell you how charming you look when you blush?â
Mortified, Tina wished the ground would swallow her whole. She shoved him away and, mustering her courage, shot him a warning glare.
âMr. Castro, kindly show some decorum.â
Wasting no time, she shifted gears, adding swiftly, âMs. Hudson asked me to remind you to first review the partnership between Wall Group and Burgess Group, then check in with Sutton.â
Blaineâs smirk faltered briefly.
Sutton? Coyleâs son?
His brow creased, irritation flashing across his features, but he held his tongue.
After a beat, he chuckled and replied nonchalantly, âSure, Iâll follow Ms. Hudsonâs instructions.â
Meanwhile, Coyle stormed into the logistics department managerâs office, his cane striking the floor with a loud crack.
The room was emptyâSutton was missing.
His fury surged as he slammed the cane against the desk with force.
The sudden noise prompted Suttonâs assistant to rush inside.
âM-Mr. Wall, how may I assist you?â
Coyleâs breathing was heavy with rage.
âWhere is Sutton? Where has he vanished to?â
