Chapter 715
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 715:
Suttonâs voice was a venomous growl. âYou wretch! Noahâs aliveâand you dared lie to me. Because of you, I ended up like this. Youâll pay for what heâs done to me!â
Hailey shook her head desperately, panic overtaking her.
He finally let go, and she gasped as the cloth was yanked from her mouth. She choked and coughed, struggling to fill her lungs with air again.
âI donât know what youâre talking about!â she gasped, her voice weak and trembling.
Sutton remained quiet, casting a sharp glance at the subordinates behind him. They understood the signal instantly and sprang into action. Their movements were harsh and aggressive, leaving no doubt about their intent. Suttonâs goal was clearâhe wanted to degrade and torment Hailey in front of everyone.
With a keen interest, he positioned a camera to the side, carefully adjusting its angle. It was only then that Hailey truly grasped what he was planning, and an overwhelming wave of fear washed over her.
âNo, Sutton, please, donât do this. I made a mistakeâI admit it. Iâll do whatever you ask, I swear. We can work together again. Iâll even help you deal with Noah.â
Her voice wavered as she rambled desperately, saying anything that might change Suttonâs mind. She was willing to do whatever it took to escape this nightmare.

Sutton shook his head, his expression devoid of warmth.
âDo you honestly think Iâd trust you again, Hailey? Youâve deceived me over and over, treating me like a fool. Youâve been out of control latelyâitâs time you learned a lesson.â
Without another word, he signaled for his men to continue.
The next two hours were filled with Haileyâs anguished cries and the merciless laughter of those around her. As time passed, her voice grew weaker until it was nothing more than a hoarse whisper. Eventually, she stopped struggling altogether, sinking into complete despair.
Sutton watched it all through the lens of his camera, a satisfied smirk forming on his lips. As he reviewed the recording, he sneered.
âNext time you step out of line, Iâll make sure thereâs more waiting for you.â
Haileyâs head snapped up, her eyes burning with fury. Her voice, though strained, was laced with venom.
âWhat more do you want? You already have something to use against meâwhat else could you possibly need?â
Sutton chuckled, clearly amused.
âRelax, youâll be fineâas long as you obey. Play by my rules, and youâll have all the wealth you could desire. Iâll contact you when the time comes. Just follow instructions.â
With that, he turned and walked away, leaving Hailey alone in the hotel room. She slowly shifted her gaze to the mirror. Bruises marred her skin, her appearance utterly ruined. Her fury simmered beneath the surface. Suttonâthat despicable bastard.
Why hadnât Noah finished him off when he had the chance? Letting him live had been a grave mistake. But if no one else would take care of him, she would. Sutton had to die!
Her expression hardened as the murderous intent took root in her heart. She quickly composed herself and returned to the suburban villa, arriving just as Noah was about to leave.
When he saw her, his expression remained impassive, as if she were a mere acquaintance.
