Chapter 719
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 719:
Sadie knew Isabel had some suspicions. Feeling conflicted, she averted her teary eyes.
The more people knew about Patrickâs identity, the more danger he would be in.
After mulling it over for a few seconds, Sadie came up with a harmless lie. âDonât overthink it, Isabel. That person isnât Noah. His name is Patrick Noel, and he is the chairman of the Burgess Group.â
âOh,â Isabel mumbled, still a little dazed from the encounter. She thought back to the manâs figure and the tone of his voice. Sure enough, they werenât entirely like Noahâs.
Even so, that sense of familiarity lingered at the back of her mind. âReally?â Isabel asked, still somewhat skeptical. âAre you sure about that, Sadie?â
Sadie saw the doubt in Isabelâs eyes and spoke more firmly. âIâm sure. Thereâs no way I wouldnât recognize Noah. Patrick resembles him to a small extent, but thatâs all. Theyâre definitely not the same person.â
Isabel was only half-convinced, but seeing how calm and unbothered Sadie was about the matter, she surmised that the latter wasnât lying. Isabel relaxed. Perhaps she had been overthinking. After all, Noah had already passed away.
She sighed and patted Sadieâs hand. âI might be overthinking.â Then she decided it would be best to change the subject. âSadie, this Patrick seems very concerned about your well-being,â she teased.
Sadie smiled but didnât respond. Instead, she shifted the topic once more. âItâs getting late. We should head out. Everything should be ready at the resort spa by now.â

Isabel nodded and reached out to adjust Sadieâs shawl. âLetâs go, then. It will be good to clear our minds for a bit.â
Sadie quietly strategized her next move.
She couldnât wait to see how Coyle would go about clearing up the mess she had left behind.
This would also be the perfect time for her to take a break after three grueling years. More importantly, she could have some much-needed quality time with Averi.
A servant watched the car carrying Sadie, Isabel, and Averi leave and immediately took out her phone to dial Coyleâs number. âMr. Wall, Sadie has left Wall Manor with Isabel and Averi.â
Coyle was in his office, poring over the latest stock market trends. The servantâs report brought a smirk to his face.
Having those people leave was a very good thing, indeed. It would be even better if they never returned.
Without the chairwoman position in the company, Sadie was nothing more than a lion without its claws, powerless to do anything.
The thought brought Coyle immense pleasure. âGot it. Let them be. Have our people retreat.â With that, he hung up the phone.
Sadie was no longer a threat.
Now, he should focus on the progress from Suttonâs side.
Coyle picked up the landline and made an internal call. âGo check on Sutton. How are the negotiations with the Burgess Group going?â
âUnderstood, Mr. Wall. Iâll head over right away.â The assistant wasted no time and left to do as he was instructed.
Coyle leaned back in his chair and surveyed his spacious office. He was living his best life.
