Chapter 1166
Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted
âWhatâs with that face?â Stella asked.
Keegan tried to be honest. âYou look nice, but with that outfit, you donât seem like a young guest invited to a wedding.â
Stella thought to herself, âHeâs indirectly telling me that I look old.â
âStill got time, do you want to change into something else?â Keegan asked her.
âNo need,â Stella sprayed some hairspray, then gently ran her fingers through her hair, adjusting it in front of the mirror. She said lightly, âThis is the look I want.â
After all, she wanted to give Albert and Hylda a âsurpriseââ at their wedding.
It was Albertâs second marriage, and he had invited almost half of the social elites in Rivera.
He wouldnât have been able to invite all those people on his own. But he was cunning. He had someone create the invitation and posted it on social media. When everyone saw that Keegan and Vermont were coming, they decided to attend as well.
After all, Keegan was now an eligible bachelor in Rivera. There were too many people eager to introduce him to potential partners. Just in the past few days, he had received six or seven messages from wealthy and influential women that his clients and friends had recommended.
Dahlia had been expelled from the Kane family, and Keegan emerged as the most promising candidate to become the Chairman of the Vinci Rivera Group. Naturally, his prospective wife would hold the position of the matriarch in the Kane family. It was a highly sought-after position for any woman. After all, even someone like Albert had managed to gain substantial advantages by associating himself with the Kane family.
When Stella and Keegan arrived, the parking lot was almost full.
Stella touched up her makeup in front of the mirror and turned to Keegan. âTil go in first, and you can join later.â
Keegan frowned. âWhy?â
Stella explained, âYou need to play the role of a devoted admirer so that Albert will believe you yearn for me. The stronger his desire to win me over, the more he will exert efforts to do so.â
Keeganâs eyelid twitched. âA devoted admirer? How am I supposed to play that?â
Stella said, âJust be a little more restrained than your usual self.â
âPfft! Hahaha!â Aldor couldnât hold it back and burst into laughter. He thought to himself, âMadam sure dares to speak her mind.â
Keegan glared at him. âWhat are you laughing at?â
Aldor immediately stifled his laughter.
Stella leaned closer and kissed Keegan. âGive it your best shot, I believe in you.â
After saying that, she tried to slip away, but Keegan pulled her back, pressing her for another kiss. âIf I perform well today, how many points will I get?â
Keeganâs obsession with earning points left Stella quite speechless. âWeâve already slept together, and heâs still fixated on earning points. What a silly guy.â
She leaned in close to Keeganâs ear and whispered, âDo you want to earn points or follow the doctorâs advice?â
Keegan hesitated. Just when Stella thought he would choose âfollow the doctorâs advice,â Keegan resolutely answered, âPoints.â
She raised her head, looking serious. âWhat?! Are you sure?â
Keegan glanced at her and said calmly, âI can still distinguish between temporary satisfaction and lasting fulfillment.â
Stella had nothing to say. After getting out of the car, she headed straight to the wedding venue.
