Sophia’s face was angry when she said in a hateful tone, “That bitch Stella is here!”

Hylda paused and frowned. “Why is that?”

“My dad invited her. You should see how he talked to her just now. He treated her as if she was his own daughter. Why would he want her here on such an auspicious day? I hate her!”

However, Hylda immediately put her guard up. She said in a deep voice,” Who did she come with?”

“She’s alone, I guess.” Sophia thought for a moment before answering.

Hylda thought about the strange things Albert did back then and suddenly understood what was happening.

She figured Albert probably believed there was a chance for Stella and Keegan to reconcile, so he wanted to use this opportunity to win Stella over. In that way, he could leverage the Kane family’s name to gain more business opportunities, just like he did in the past.

‘What a fool! Does he really think Stella would be satisfied with the small benefits he offered her? She insisted on suing him in court even though she had nothing left after the divorce. Can’t he tell how much she hates him?’ Hylda thought to herself.

Although there was no evidence to prove that the supernatural incidents in the house were fake, as an atheist herself, Hylda firmly believed that it must have something to do with Stella. She just had not found anything to prove it yet.

Keegan is not stupid.” Then, she shifted the topic, “Where’s your father? Tell him to come inside. I have something to ask him.”
