Hylda felt a knot in her heart, but she remained defiant. She held Albert’s hand and tried to sound composed. “Who else’s baby would it be, Albert? Of course, he’s yours.”

“If that’s the case, why don’t we do a DNA test? They haven’t disposed of the embryo that was just removed, right?” Albert sneered.

Hylda’s fingers trembled when she heard that. She gritted her teeth and said, “Don’t you trust me?”

“I trusted you, yet you played me like a fool!” Albert replied coldly. After that, he pushed Hylda’s hand away and strode out of the room.

Stella leaned against the door frame, as she watched the scene unfold with a mocking smile. “I guess the lovely couple’s relationship is now in shambles,” she said.

Hylda’s expression turned cold upon hearing that. “Did you have something to do with this?” she asked in a low voice.

Stella looked up and said, “I wish. If it were me, I would have brought your lover to Albert right away and show him how blind he’s been.” Her expression was indifferent, and her words were filled with resentment, making it difficult for Hylda to determine her involvement.

“Why did you show up at the wedding?” Hylda questioned.

Stella smiled and said, “Didn’t Albert tell you? He plans to adopt me as his daughter at your wedding. I wasn’t thrilled about it, but I didn’t mind causing you some distress. Although, I didn’t expect you to have another obstacle to deal with. What a twist of fate we have here.”

Hylda’s face turned uglier by the minute. “You bitch!” she yelled.

Keegan reached out to grab another IV bottle when Stella said, “If you’re going to throw things at people, do it on your own accord. Don’t pull me into it.” With that, she turned around and left. Keegan dropped the bottle and quickly followed her while calling her name.

Hylda looked defeated. She no longer cared about Albert adopting Stella with the situation at hand. Til be doomed when the DNA test results come back,’ she thought.

“Hylda…” Ian’s gaze wandered to his sister.

Hylda pursed her lips and said, “You should go. Don’t come over in the next few days.”

As soon as Ian left, Sophia also saw Ethan off. “Mom, is that child really not dad’s?” she asked Hylda in a low voice.

Hylda did not give a direct answer. Instead, she said, “Hurry home and take Hugo to the address I’m about to tell you. Don’t let your dad know about this.”

Sophia was startled and nodded quickly.

At that moment, Hylda knew that she had no other choice but to protect Hugo. She knew that Albert would not take it well when he found out that the child she bore was not his. ‘He’d probably think that Sophia and Hugo are not his offspring too,’ she thought.

Meanwhile, a car pulled up in front of Stella when she walked out of the hospital, and someone pulled her into the vehicle. She fastened her seatbelt and heard Keegan’s cold voice saying, “Aldor, head back to Royalpark Villa.”

Stella hesitated for a moment and whispered, “I promised to stay with Felicity tonight.”

Keegan shot a glance at her, and Stella felt nervous. “But… I can keep you company if you want,” she said.

Aldor remained silent.
